Tokyo is the sprawling capital city of Japan with a population of 13 million in just the metropolitan area. Despite its size, it is known as a particularly safe city. Narita Airport is located nearly 40 miles from central Tokyo, but there are several options for getting into the city. Because of Tokyo's size, travel times vary and some options may be better than others depending on what part of the city you are going to. The Skyliner is an electric railway that offers a quick, comfortable trip. Another option is the Narita Express or N'EX, a limited-stop express train. There are also several express buses that run frequently and are not expensive as well as an Airport Limousine Bus.
