The staff were exceptionally welcoming, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. The service felt genuinely warm and personalized, and every interaction was handled with care. The dining experience was also excellent. The food was beautifully presented and of a very high standard, making the overall stay feel truly special.

Wonderful
We loved the location, close to many stations and entrances. The room was impeccably clean and well stocked. It had more than enough amenities, which were also sustainable. The comfort of the bed was amazing. While we don't use the TV often in a hotel, it had a nice, large TV if that's your thing. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful for any of our needs. The hotel itself was grand, and while maybe we weren't "typical" guests, we felt comfortable and welcome here.
The only thing we didn't love was our neighbor had an alarm go off every morning that we could hear go on for hours. We did notify reception and they did make an effort to call. It didn't really remedy the situation, and luckily we were typically waking at the same time anyway. It seemed like perhaps it was a guest they didn't want to lose standing with, but overall it didn't negatively impact our stay.

If you are looking for a swanky, new design, glittery hotel, then this is not it. If however you prefer old world Tokyo charm with staff who are super well-trained and exceptionally courteous, if you like Mikimoto superlative toiletries and guest cosmetics in your bathroom, if you like your towels to be ultra plush and more than sufficient in stock, if you like your bed to be exacting in firmness and comfort, if you like your hotel to have a proper shopping area in the lower levels with genuine high end shops, if you like 4 restaurant options for breakfast, each of which is possibly the best of their kind in Tokyo, if you like to stay 7 minutes walk away from wonderful Ginza, then this is your hotel. It has been ours for the past few years and I cannot imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you Imperial Hotel Tokyo!

Disappointing
They do have an a lot of staff everywhere to great you and operate the buttons on the elevator for you. Maybe that’s why many people like it as they can pretend they are in a time from 100 years ago
All the food is basically c+ while being grossly overpriced. Plus they shamelessly try to take money at everyturn. I.e. no crib available but extra bed for $50 per day. Did you book with breakfast included? Turns out that doesn’t include children under 6. So they want $40 per day for a 2 year old to eat. The list goes on. Also the rooms are OLD with the left over residue of a million of cigarettes from when the hotel used to be smoking.

Classy hotel, it carries so much history without feeling old or outdated. Location is great, staff is beyond helpful, service outstanding! Have everything what you possibly might need and if they didn’t have it, just call and ask and they will make it happen.
Not about property but bakery downstairs at lobby) they don’t have pastries till 10 am, I mean I want my croissant with coffee in a morning) it wasn’t big deal I think it’s a cultural difference. But please make your breakfast items available early if that possible

Fair
Good location (right next to the Hibiya train station). Respectful staff. Comfortable bed and good view if you stay on higher floors.
There was a BIG COCKROACH in our bedroom and it took the staff good 10 MINUTES to finally arrive at our room to take care of it. The team asked us that if they sprayed the COCKROACH, we had to grab all our stuff and move to another room in the middle of the night; however, they did NOT give us another other options if we didn’t want to change a room. ALSO, they broke my luggage handle during luggage storage service. They were very respectful but not helpful - they apologized, but did NOT offer any solutions. Very passive experience. I was extremely disappointed. It was not worth it, and it did NOT meet a 5-star hotel experience. Would NOT stay again.

Bed and beddings aren’t luxe enough. To be honest I think the rooms need remodeling.

Wonderful
The staff are very friendly and well-trained. The room is clean, with a small table and two nice chairs in front of the window. The window faces a small park (the park is smaller than I have expected though). We like the surrounding environment, which is quieter than most areas in Tokyo.
The airport buses do not go to the Haneda Airport. Most subways entries/exits have stairs, which is tough for people with luggage.

Good
The location is perfect and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The furnitures are very old but still in perfect condition but maybe they consider renovation of the rooms.
