We loved absolutely everything about our stay at this hotel. Before we even booked our room, their concierge was already helping me decorate the room for our honeymoon. Staff are extremely patient, polite and pay so much attention to detail. Room service staff are so nice and do an amazing job.
The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention the really beautiful garden that has a surprise display every hour. It’s conveniently located near the most popular districts and easily reached by public transport or Uber/taxi.
All in all, a must-try experience. Can't wait to stay here again.

I loved how beautiful the hotel was, they had great amenities, the staff was very nice and helpful, and they also have events. I also loved the garden and how nice and quiet it was. The gift shop was also super amazing & had really nice items. I loved turn down service and the restaurants were also very tasty.
I did notice some black stuff on the walls in areas that involved water. Such as in my shower, spa, pool, and wet sauna.
There were some older people who were quite rude to the children in the spa area, which I didn’t like. For instance asking staff when the kids were going to leave, staring, pointing, and telling child to move.

Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo has always been one of my favorite properties in the world, and every visit reminds me why!
From its breathtaking gardens with an historic 15th-century pagoda to the museum-quality art throughout the expansive hotel, it’s no wonder this is Japan’s premier wedding destination, averaging 4.5 weddings a day.
The property’s staff were so gracious and created an incredible guest experience. It’s always a privilege to spend time here at Japan’s #1 wedding destination, even though I’ve been happily married for 20 years!
Some of the furnishings are showing their age but I understand that updates are in progress. It would be nice to have USB and USBC chargers in the night stands. The city view room looks over a giant parking lot. Go for the Garden view.

Our room was beautiful. Chinzanso's hot spring spa was so relaxing. Many wonderful, delicious restaurants. Very polite hotel and restaurant staff helped our stay feel so welcome. The Japanese garden, the history and beautiful art added wondrous meaning to our experience. We will plan to return of course!

Exquisite gardens. Luxurious old-school high-end sensibilities in the rarifies air of a stories Tokyo neighborhood.
The I only stayed one night.

This hotel oozes old-school class, and feels like you stepped right into 1990's or early 2000's five star luxury while still maintaining a distinctive Japanese atmosphere. The rooms are all massive and extremely clean, and the property is simply gorgeous. It took us 15-20 minutes to walk the on-site garden; it's massive!
It's a bit of a hike to reach the hotel if you're planning on using public transport during your stay. We'd recommend only those comfortable paying for taxis to choose Chinzanso (this is what we did).

A beautiful hotel with spacious rooms including all amenities and a fantastic garden the staff were wonderful and super helpful
You had to pay an additional charge to use the swimming pool and onsen springs We also stayed at a very busy time due to the fireflies and it was difficult to get a reservation for dinner even with the various restaurants on site

Every night, ladies came to do turn down service, which was very nice. Hotel amenities are L'Occitane and excellent quality. The garden in the Hotel was magnificent. Internet was also fast compared to other hotels.
The location was just outside of the city center. The subway station is rather far. Hotel was located up hill from subway station and very difficult to go out without a car. No convenient store near the Hotel.

Very Good
Probably the best hotel in Tokyo, silent, traffic free, no crowds, excellent garden view with access to it.
Western breakfast menu could be further improved probably with some open buffet options.

What a charm…. Kind of old school and lovely. Great atmosphere. If you enjoy old world vibe, this is the place to be. The value for money is also very good considering Tokyo….
That they don’t allow tattoos in the hot spring.
