Wonderful
Room was spacious and comfortable. Carpet in our room was worn out in some places and needs better cleaning or replacement. Amenities were very good and useful. Location was perfect- near the Shimbashi station which had a flaw- noise , but it did not disturb our sleep
The hotel is located not far from Shimbashi station which is a very good location for exploring the city, but the proximity creates a muffled noise penetrating through the isolation.

The concierge staff were nice and helpful
One of the worst hotel receptionists I have encountered in my whole life (and I have traveled to many places). We got to the hotel at 6 am after a long flight, understandably they didn’t have our room ready and they told us the checking time is 3 pm. we asked them if possibly they can give us the room if it becomes available earlier by any chance. The receptionist could barely speak any English just said “No, check-in time is 3pm”. So I repeated myself that I mean if we can stay around and if by any chance the room becomes available earlier, can we have it earlier and again the only thing she said was “check in time is 3 pm”. At 1:30pm (after 8 hrs of waiting), we checked again and the receptionist told us the same thing. In all these years of traveling, it has never happened to me that a hotel is so rigid about check in time. Of course, there’s no guarantee on early check in if you arrive earlier but almost always they try to give you the room if it becomes available (they might tell you to wait around and check again). Just giving the guests one rigid sentence without bothering to check is simply not nice. Another thing, they didn’t charge us the correct amount for tax (we needed to pay $3 more). They called us at 9:30 pm while we were jet lagged and trying to sleep early just to tell us that we should visit the front desk and pay those $3. It was that urgent that they couldn’t possibly wait till morning. The room itself was ok but very outdated. Definitely not a 5 star experience.

Good service, courteous staff, clean spacious rooms classic ambiance and the bed and pillow were very comfortable also very close to a lot of restaurants and the shimbashi station

The hotel was old and the rooms were small and overpriced. We asked for a twin superior room but the hotel gave us a king bed. Also, I paid for "lounge access" but was not given it.

Staff very attentive, suggested to upgrade our room, but it was on top of passing train and noisy. We enjoyed the lounge floor. Great staff and decent drinks and snacks.
The hotel is essentially in the Shimbashi station, you hear trains all the time. Not recommended for light sleepers.

The airconditioning during the night seemed to be low despite adjusting the controls on both the nights we stayed - left word with the lady at reception to have it investigated.

The hotel is pretty fancy and grand when entering. The rooms have a princess story-book feel to it, and there was a California King sized bed! It was massive which I liked!
The bathroom isn't quite up to date but it's still very spacious

Spectacular location and view from our room. Staff were beyond lovely.
Hotel is outdated and I’m not sure worth the price tag. I wish they would’ve told me about the airport bus that stops at the hotel when we checked in. It was booked when we needed it at check out.

Classic large western style hotel in a great location. We liked the room size, the efficiency of the service and the bathroom had great heat and water pressure in the shower. Having a drink in the bar overlooking the trains and coming and goings in the evening was great. Buffet breakfast was good. All as expected for a hotel of this size and location.
Having stayed at a much more budget accomodation for the first leg of our time in Tokyo, I was surprised that the beds were less comfortable (my matress was a big lumpy) and place was less clean that other places we'd stayed in Japan. It was still a decent place to stay but relative to the extremely pristine and comfortable comparisons of other places it just felt a bit tired.
