Kyoto does not have its own airport. It is accessible through Kansai International Airport in Osaka. The third busiest in Japan, the airport is located 100 kilometers southwest of the city. Operated by JR-West, The Haruka Express train transports passengers from the airport to Kyoto Station in just over an hour.
