The country’s third-busiest airport, Los Angeles International Airport is the main aviation gateway into the city. Commonly referred to as LAX, it is located approximately 16 miles southwest of the downtown business district. A shuttle bus connects the terminals to Metro Rail and Metro Bus stations. The FlyAway bus offers express service to downtown, Hollywood and Santa Monica. Los Angeles is also served by nearby airports in Burbank, Sana Ana, Ontario and Long Beach. These airports have a variety of ground transportation options, including taxis, light rail and bus service.
