The capital of Catalonia and the second-largest city in Spain, Barcelona is located along the Mediterranean Coast. This means you can enjoy both a beach getaway and a city vacation all in one. There are a number of different ways to travel to the city center from El Prat Airport:
• The fastest way along with a taxi, is the Aerobus (airport shuttle) which is equally fast. It runs every 5 minutes at peak times in each direction and makes a limited number of stops along the way towards Plaza Catalunya as its final stop.
• You can take the L9 Sud metro line and transfer to L1, L3 or L5 to get to the city center.
• The train runs every half hour from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. between the airport and Barcelona Sants, Passeig de Gracia or Clot.
