Blackpool is a resort town located along the Irish Sea in northeast England. In addition to its seven miles of beaches, it has three piers, a promenade and several amusement arcades. Two of its main attractions are Blackpool Tower and Pleasure Beach Blackpool. The former is a 19th-century replica of the Eiffel Tower with a number of attractions in its surrounding entertainment complex. You can ride to the top of tower for a view or enjoy the onsite aquarium, circus and more. The latter is a large fun fair that has eleven roller coasters. Blackpool also hosts a number of variety shows in the summer and has an active nightlife.Getting to and from Blackpool
Manchester Airport is around 60 miles from Blackpool. Trains from the airport to Blackpool North run every half hour daily until 10:30 p.m. and take around 90 minutes to two hours. Liverpool John Lennon Airport is roughly the same distance away but public transport options are not as good. You would need to take a bus or taxi to one of the area railway stations, and there are fewer direct trains.
