Shanghai is China's largest metropolis with a population of 23 million. Although it is around 1,000 years old, Shanghai was a village for much of its history up until the 19th century. Nanshi, the Old City, still preserves much of the feel of the historic Shanghai with many of its original wooden buildings. The ancient Yuyuan Garden is here. • A train known as the "maglev" travels between the airport and Longyang Road.
• Metro line 2 goes to Guanglan Road.
• There are five buses, a district bus and a late night bus.
A few fly in and out of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.
• Metro lines 2 and 10 go to terminal 2 and line 10 goes to terminal 1.
• There are a number of buses from the airport to various locations.
Taxis and shuttles are also available from both airports.
