Located in northern Poland, Sopot is a resort town on the Black Sea's southern coast with a population of around 40,000. A major tourist destination for Poles, Sopot is famous for its health spa, which dates back to the 16th century. Its 515.5-meter wooden pier is the longest in Europe. The Sopot International Song Festival is second only to the Eurovision Song Contest in Europe. The "inhalation mushrooms" is Sopot's famous fountain filled with bromide spring water. A street popular for walking and people-watching is Heroes of Monte Cassino, which includes an unusual piece of architecture known as the Crooked House. Nightclubs, bars and cafes can be found inside. Another popular attraction is the Sopot Wax Museum. There are also several popular parks for enjoying nature, cycling and more, including the Tricity Landscape Park and the North Park.

Getting to and from

Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport is located about 23 km from Sopot. A train runs every 30 minutes from terminal 2 to Gdansk-Wrzeszcz, and from here, you can change trains to get to Sopot. There are ticket machines at each station, or you can purchase tickets on the train. Bus line 122 also runs between the airport and Sopot.
