Puerto Vallarta is a resort city located on Mexico's west coast. There are numerous beaches for sunbathing, swimming and water sports, and it also has a number of other attractions and landmarks. El Malecon is a 12-block esplanade, which runs along the bay known as the city's historic center and is lined with art galleries, restaurants, shops and sculptures. The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe is one of the city's most popular attractions. Pueblo Viejo is an artisan market where you can buy traditional clothing, jewellery and other souvenirs. There is 100-meter pier in the "Zona Romantica" that is a beautiful place to walk and watch the sunset. You can also take many interesting day trips to places such as San Sebastian, a historic town in the Sierra Madre mountain range, and Mascota, a 19th-century town set in a stunning forest landscape.

Getting to and from Puerto Vallarta

Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport is located just north of Puerto Vallarta. If you do not have much luggage, you can catch a public bus to various locations around Puerto Vallarta. Otherwise, you can pre-book transportation, or you can get a taxi from the official airport taxi kiosk.
