Chamonix Mont Blanc is located in southeastern France near the Aiguilles Rouges Mountains. It is one of France's oldest ski resorts and encompasses the summit of Mont Blanc. There are a number of ski slopes for all abilities. Climbing Mont Blanc is another popular activity. You can take one of the world's highest cable cars up Aiguille du Midi, and there are several other cable cars throughout the area. You can also take the Montenvers rack railway to see the Mer de Glace glacier. In summer, you can take advantage of numerous hiking trails throughout the area as well as mountain biking, golf and more. In addition to all the outdoors activities available, Chamonix offers shopping, restaurants, spas and nightclubs. There is also a casino, a cinema and a bowling alley. Several beautiful villages are nearby including Argentiere, just 8 km away.

The closest airport to Chamonix Mont Blanc is actually in Switzerland. Geneva International Airport is about 100 km from Chamonix, and there are a number of shuttle services to Chamonix available. You can also take a taxi or rent a car.
