The room was great and clean and staff always friendly
We came down to breakfast at 9 am and waited and waited for fried eggs
Ate bfast and in the whole hour no eggs where cooked
This was disappointing as we had not been told no more were available
We paid for breakfast and this wasn't mentioned on arrival at the dining room
I think this was too early to decide we are not preparing them and to just offer scrambled for ease

Location. Big suite. Good breakfast.
Staff was fine but not as friendly as one would hope for. Restaurant Staff especially not very attentive. We ordered a chocolate dessert and they brought panacotta. When we brought it up, they didn't offer an apology or to correct it.

No fried eggs on the breakfast buffet display - we had to ask for one and wait for it to be cooked. The toilet seat had to be physically held up to remain open while having a pee! The floor boards were noisy and creaky.

The location was perfect
The parking, none available so had to park elsewhere. Also the shower was awful, absolutely no water pressure, which was a shame as the hotel is great in every other aspect, especially the breakfast.

Central location of the hotel and size of the room.
Breakfast was very disorganised and didn't live up to its usual standard. Although we were allocated the room we requested, a used bath towel left on the back of the bathroom door and a sock found under the bed, was not a good start to our stay. Finally, as a result of what must be due to a change in policy, we had to pay for onsite parking, despite being a blue badge holder. This has always been free of charge on our numerous previous visits, which was disappointing to say the least.

We always choose The Crown because it has a feel of old fashioned service which suits the feel of Harrogate. The dining room is so full of character which fits the era in which it was built.
Breakfast had lots of choice, food was just warm ,however for the money it was excellent value.
