Both the delicious dinner and full English breakfast we enjoyed were delicious and represented excellent value. Also, the follow-up service which the owner provided in arranging to have an item, which we inadvertently left behind in our room, forwarded to our next destination in Wales, was very kind and much appreciated.

The very high quality dinner and breakfast, the excellent bath and shower, the warm and welcoming atmosphere of a traditional country inn, and the position of the hotel in the Yorkshire countryside.
The room was very small for two people in two separate beds.

Waiting staff & chef knowledgeable regarding allergies and food was tremendous & hearty. We had a gluten free & a dairy free allergy so chef went out of way to help.
It was a relaxed and helpful atmosphere and staff were lovely.
The hotel felt a little run down & very dated.

Lovely historic pub in a beautiful village, really friendly and welcoming owners and good food.
Good water pressure in the shower. Good for a one night stop over, lively and welcoming local pub.
