We rented a cottage on the estate. It was comfortable and very clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the SPA, grounds and restaurant.

The building is absolutely stunning. The grounds are wonderful. The location is great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Totally recommend.
These are minor complaints, but rooms are carpeted so not ideal for little crawlers. The wifi is a captive portal so it might not work for some secure scenarios for work. The food at the Terrace was ok but not wow and the waiters were are trained to a high standard you'd expect from this kind of place.

Elegant, spacious and beautifully maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful and generally very charming without affectation. The grounds are magnificent and there are wonderful walks to cater for all capabilities. The estate is also dog friendly, which is a bonus.

Lovely estate and the room was beautiful. The bathroom was exceptional.
No air conditioning and it was very hot and whilst the terrace restaurant was excellent, the meal at the main restaurant was no particularly good. Next time I will eat at the terrace

Wonderfully historic building, very friendly staff, huge well appointed rooms, acres of grounds to walk in, spa was good and Terrace Restaurant was outstanding

Absolutely loved the spa - having access to the various pools, sauna and steam rooms was wonderful. The grounds were spacious and the hotel staff were very friendly to us and our dog.
We dined in the Terrace Restaurant and was disappointed that there were only three main dishes on offer: fish and chips, a venison burger and a vegetarian risotto. Not much choice but the service was very good.
