Good
Excellent staff and location is perfect for exploring Harrogate.
The room we stayed in was dreary and drab and in desperate need of an update.

Wonderful
The location is perfect- right in the centre, close to everything. The room was spacious, comfortable & spotless. Loved the roll top bath. The walk in shower was fab too with great water pressure. The L’occitane products gave a luxurious feel to the bathroom experience. Breakfast was tasty with quite a few cooked options and a buffet with cereals, bread/toast, yoghurt and more.
£15 parking fee. Would be nice to provide guests with free parking. The only thing missing in the room was a bit of body lotion.

Very Good
I liked everything about this hotel, especially the lovely guy from Romania on reception.
The scrambled egg and smoked salmon for breakfast had way too much salmon on it and I couldn’t eat it all, but hey that might be a plus for some people!

Wonderful
This location in central Harrogate can't be beat. Short walk to the train station, the Stray, and dozens of shops and restaurants. My room was clean, charming, and comfortable. Fabulous large bathtub.
The only downside to this hotel was that there was no sound insulation between my room and the hallway. When someone walked past, it sounded like they were right in the room with me. This didn't happen often, but I know it would be a challenge for my family member who is a very light sleeper, so if we travel here together in future, I'll request a room at the end of the hall.

Wonderful
Stayed in the Belle room on the 3rd floor - the suite with the separate baths. The room and bathroom especially was beautiful, room facilities excellent and L'Occitane products - nice touch!
There is a lift right up to the room.
Breakfast was great - good selection of cereals, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, yogurt and also the cooked breakfast was delicious - we had eggs Benedict and a traditional breakfast. Well worth including breakfast with the stay.
We were of the understanding that parking could not be reserved and was on a first come first served basis. We were surprised therefore that about 4-5 empty bays at the front of the hotel had lockable bollards on them so we could not park. We were told that there was no parking left (so who is using the empty spaces?) and we were told that we could park in a multi storey or around the corner but we would have to keep feeding the meter at £2.10 per hour. Parking on street was free between 6pm - 8am. This wouldn't have been that much of an issue but :
It was raining and inconvenient to keep going backwards and forwards to the car.
The meter only takes change in coins, which we didn't have. It did not take card, so the only way of covering it would be to download the parking app.
We ended up putting 5 separate tickets on the car in a 24 hour period depending on when we had loose change during the day.
The parking thing was the only negative about the stay - everything else was great.

Lovely room, great locale. Nice toiletries! Convenient parking.
The only room complaint was no fresh towels. The wet towels were folded and put on the rack. When we phoned it was quickly corrected.
The bar staff was hard to find and not prompt to serve. Perhaps short staffed but with no one else in the bar there were no servers to take our order.

Wonderful
A beautiful room that was great value for the upgrade price. The location was superb for exploring Harrogate and further afield. Staff were really helpful and polite. The bed was excellent and really comfortable. The walk in shower was a great feature. The little extras like coffee pods were a nice tough. We loved the balcony area
Parking charges are a bit steep.
The mirror in the main room could have been better positioned. The mirror in the bathroom was difficult to use given the size of the sink basin.
The room was very warm and some complimentary still water would have been nice (although we did note that there was a fan).

The property is beautiful and perfectly situated in Harrogate. The staff was wonderful, solicitous, and responsive to all our needs and requests.
Room was a bit hot. A fan was provided, which helped.
