Good
The hotel is lovely. Within walking distance of the town centre.
The diy-type reception. I expected there to be more staff around and, as a result, it lacked a welcoming atmosphere.
There was an adjoining door in our room, (rather than a solid wall), which made the neighbouring guests’ voices amplified quite significantly.

Wonderful
The location of the hotel was great and received a warm welcome from staff. The room was really clean and had all the amenities needed. Highly recommend the food especially breakfast. The lounge area was also an inviting space and place to have drinks.
The shower flooded due to large amounts of hair in the plug hole that hadn't been cleaned. Had to clean most of it with towels due to the amount of flooding. Reception staff informed and they offered to to clean it as the house keeper was not available in the evening. Reception staff were helpful but didn't offer anything else. More cleaning needed in the shower plugs.

Very Good
Convenient location, easy walk to all town main facilities, shops, restaurants.
Staff were mainly helpful and friendly.
The mattress on my bed needed replacing - I could feel the ‘wire’ on the edge. But my friend had a good bed in her room..

Poor
It was in a good location with all facilities available however the condition left something to be desired. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection.
The outdated rooms and the cleanliness of the bathroom was extremely poor. On arrival it was a touchscreen check-in and we had to pay additional fees for car parking. We were also given a twin bedded room when we had booked a double. This however, was sorted by a member of staff. The bar did not take cash so every drink had to be paid for via card. There was also an air-conditioning unit running outside the bedroom window all night which was very disturbing.

Great location, lovely elegant hotel
Great rooms although we were on the 4th floor in the room in the eves, my husband banged his head on the eve several time due to it being next to the bed.

Wonderful
Delightful staff who looked after us beautifully, a very comfortable, newly furnished bedroom looking out over Harrogate’s open parkland. A spacious, classic-style hotel with its own parking (a win, when in Harrogate!)

The location is excellent for access onto The Stray or for walking into town.
We've stayed numerous times now and it's always spotlessly clean.
The dining room is stunning and a pleasure to use.
Parking is charged at £10 a night which makes a fairly pricey stay even dearer. There is disk parking and unrestricted parking in the roadside outside.
The mattress was past it's best and this has been reported to the team.

Gorgeous building which has been tastefully renovated and in keeping with the surroundings in a fabulous location just 5 minutes drive or a 15 minute stroll from the centre of Harrogate.
The restaurant is beautiful and grand in scale. The service was excellent and food on offer was fairly good value for money although I was disappointed with my steak which was overcooked ( burnt) . However the staff took appropriate action to rectify this and dessert was complimentary.
Without exception, all of the staff we met were really helpful and friendly, and an absolute credit to the hotel.
