Wonderful
We loved our room in the Annex. Very comfortable, clean and quiet. We had a great sleep.
The self service breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
The hotel is VERY dog friendly
There didn’t seem to be a lot of staff on duty and we had a bit of a wait to check in

Very Good
The location is excellent and convenient for all knaresborough has to offer and within easy reach if York and Harrogate
We were lucky to be houses in room 1 which is a stand alone cottage and although it is noisy when beer garden is full and with traffic noise it is very private. I do need to point out one fact about the accommodation snd that is the dust. The wardrobe haf shelves that were falling off and the dust on bottom shelf where the safe was myst have never been dusted it was about 2mm deep. We were unfortunate to drop something that rolled under the bed so lifted it up to find a thick layer of dust and dirt and someone else's lip which we left there. I am sure if you look it is still there. This was unfortunate as we gad a really lovely stay.

The Knaresborough Inn is dog friendly which was our main draw. The parking is free and plenty of it. The wide range of food and drinks with helpful staff will ensure that we will definitely be returning. Thank you.
There was nothing not to like.

Property is gorgeous
Free ample parking
Pull out sofa bed for children

Very Good
The room was well-appointed, and the shower room, whilst small, was perfectly adequate. Dinner was very good, with a decent number of choices. Breakfast was good, but perhaps some bowls could be placed nearer to the fruit rather than just the cereal (I didn't locate them until after I'd used a plate! Another guest used a juice glass. Staff were very personable and helpful, particularly the young man on breakfast duty on the 24th.
Our room - 101 - was reached via an outside staircase, with very steep steps. At 71 I think I need to start admitting that I find this sort of arrangement a bit more challenging than I used to. I will make this clear next time we stay. Other guests who had managed to lock themselves out woke us just after 6am unfortunately, but that was not the hotel's fault.

Wonderful
On the edge of town and easy to walk to restaurants and the center. Food was good but not exceptional.
The breakfast coffee on our last morning was horrible, had been left on the heat much too long. We bought some good coffee from the bar. They have a reasonable amount of parking but it does get full.
Some reviews mention pool, sauna and gym. These no longer exist. Oddly, black pudding is mentioned on the menu card but were never on the buffet.

Wonderful
Has been renovated very nicely. Lots of pleasant outdoor space with a fair bit of parking.
Annex room was fine but would benefit from a shaver point in the bathroom and a fridge.
Bed was very comfortable with good blackout curtains and shutters. Nice bathroom, good shower.
Location is great.
Room was cool which was surprising and welcome.
Was difficult finding where to check in. I never saw a sign which means there isn't one, or it's a not very good one.
Breakfast was OK but poor choice of cereals and bread.
