This was our second stay. The quality remains at the highest level. Excellent service (a special thank you to the very efficient concierge who arranged for the shipping of our luggage) and facilities and the best central location close to everything, with endless options for dining, shopping and sightseeing.
It is pricey but well worth it.

Great location. Staff is exceptional at customer service. We felt like VIPs at every turn. The breakfast buffet was unbelievable and is not to be missed. We were surprised at how quiet the hotel was; we hardly heard the trains and were not once disturbed by other guests on our floor. Room is beautiful and large by Tokyo standards.
A little pricy, but we definitely felt like we were getting a solid return for what we paid. Bed was pretty firm but still comfortable.

Outstanding, staff even accommodated a very early checkin due to our early train arrival, as well as a late checkout due to our late plane departure. Will be back!

Wonderful
This was a superb hotel. Our room was very well appointed, comfortable, and good size. It also enjoyed a nice view of the Marunouchi side plaza. The hotel was well located next to the main train station. So travel anywhere in Tokyo was convenient. And many shops and restaurants were nearby. The concierge staff were particularly pleasant and helpful, and they recommended a number of tasty restaurants. The hotel design was very appealing.
We were disappointed in the breakfast buffet. Also there were a large number of food choices, we found the quality of many items to be lacking. It was also very expensive.

The location - right in the main train station! Also everyone working there was exceptionally helpful and friendly. They even met us at the train tracks and escorted us to the hotel. The room was quiet and large.
The breakfast wasn’t amazing, although the setting was.

Pleasant
The hotel has an excellent central location for Tokyo and it is a good launching pad to visit most of the sites that any tourist will want to visit during their stay.
While the staff was friendly, they were for the most part completely unaccommodating. In particular, when we arrived at the hotel, they specifically told me that the breakfast buffet was included.
When I got the bill at the end of my stay, they told me it was only included for one person. I have never stayed in a hotel where breakfast is included only for one when you’re staying there with an entire family.
While the gentleman that I spoke with was pleasant, he was completely unwilling to budge and did not recognize that they had made a mistake and told me something different when I had checked into the hotel. This was one of several occasions where the staff, while friendly, was I accommodating and, at best, cordial, but nothing more. I will likely not be staying here again when I return to Tokyo.

Beautiful historic hotel that fully earns 10+ in all categories. It is located in the Tokyo station, a central location for access to the Shinkansan. It has unique historical significance and opulence to match. The staff consistently went above and beyond to assist. The baths were also wonderful and interesting. I had the sushi dinner at one of many restaurants. Because I sat at the sushi counter, the meal was prepared by a personal chef. Overall great experience at this hotel while making a connection to other areas of Japan.
Nothing- amazing hotel.

Good
Very comfortable beds & great location.
Overall, our stay was pleasant, but we were unfortunately let down by the attitude of some staff members, which was particularly disappointing given the hotel’s 5-star rating. It's also worth noting that the property itself feels quite outdated, which may be a consideration for future guests.
One of our first interactions was at the gym and spa, where we inquired about massage pricing. The staff member we spoke with was notably cold and unwelcoming. We noticed what appeared to be two pricing lists - one presumably for hotel guests and another for external visitors. Despite explaining that we had just checked in that day, she removed what seemed to be the guest price list and presented us with the more expensive one, without any clear explanation. Regardless of the pricing itself, the dismissive and unprofessional attitude was unacceptable.
We also encountered another negative experience when returning to the hotel after a day out. A staff member escorting a new guest asked us to wait and take a different elevator, which felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. In general, we sensed a lack of warmth and courtesy from certain staff members, especially when compared to the other 5-star hotels we stayed at during our trip in Japan, where the service was exceptional.
Regrettably, unless one conforms to certain expectations (perhaps in appearance or dress) it seems the level of hospitality may vary. Based on this experience, we would not choose to return.
