Good
Beautiful and comfortable room with great views. Lovely staff. Nice gardens, quiet location.
Food and bar options very limited. We tried to get a drink the first night and the only option was the sky bar with high cover charge. We kept being referred to the main bar which was inexplicably closed throughout our 4 day stay although the staff kept insisting we could go there.
No place to just get coffee in the morning. Again, we were referred to high priced breakfast options only.
Restaurants very limited .. specialty Japanese restaurants, expensive steak and Chinese options. Chinese was quite good but off putting as we were the only ones on restaurant. Same for full service Japanese restaurant. Sushi and tempura bars seemed full, but we wanted more options.

Great location, bathtub was a jacuzzi, and views from both the room and bathroom were stunning (specially at night).
Staff was really nice and gave us some cookies and a bottle of sparkling wine for our anniversary, which was a pleasant surprise.
Check in is too late (3pm) and the process was a bit tedious. You have to fill a form and they tend to take a bit too long to explain the facilities when you got there tired and just want to go to your room.
I would advise to do check ins inside the room to make it easier for the client, specially for how much they charge for 1 night (USD 800).

Wonderful
This is not a Japandi style hipster hotel but a great classic. Everything works. A phone with buttons. Light switches at the bedsides for which you don’t need a manual. WiFi good enough to stream. Enough staff to keep your room tidy and clean. The size of the room was large enough to open a suitcase… (this is getting less and less the case) and also to enjoy an in-room dinner on a table with straight view to Tokyo tower. Concierge was very helpful.
In the morning you can take a stroll to the park or nearby temple. I will definitely book again.
Two things come to my mind:
1) A bad smell when the nozzles of the jacuzzi bathtub are activated.
2) A situation at the main entrance when some VIP arrived and I (64 years old and handicapped) was pushed away to a side entrance for being a security risk to this person (actual wording of the security guard). I would think it might be just the other way around.

Poor
Room was very spacious and bathrooms had a jacuzzi tub and shower! Also the extra breakfast on the 32 floor is worth it and staff up there including the chef is very friendly!
Front desk staff and especially at the sky bar staff were not friendly at all, terrible service, super expensive, acted as if you were bothering them if you asked for anything. I could go on and on! I would never stay at this place again even though the rooms were nice

Disappointing
Unfortunately there is nothing that stands out about this hotel except if you get a room overlooking Tokyo tower but even then its not worth it.
The hotel rooms are old, some really old, in some cases in a bad condition where you can smell old washed carpets throughout the room. The hotel divides its room styles based on the floors and at the beginning we were put in the section of the hotel that was ancient. After complaining and paying an additional amount we were transferred into a better room with a more modern and spacious aesthetic but even then for the amount of money I was paying and expecting a 5-star hotel, this was much closer to a 3 star hotel. Unfortunately, I will not be going back nor am I recommending a stay at the hotel.

Good
Room was large, comfortable, and well stocked. There were a lot of amenities in the hotel but everything was wildly expensive - this definitely was a place that feels like it’s catering toward business travelers with expense accounts or weddings with unlimited budgets and less so for leisure travelers. Staff was very attentive and helpful, and having the convenience store onsite was nice.
The onsen was nice enough (with great staff), but for the price of the room having an extra charge for that felt out of alignment with other places I experienced throughout Japan. While much of the hotel had been recently renovated, the room and bathroom felt dated for this high of a price point. The location is the negative. I booked for the Tokyo Tower views on my last night in Japan, and while it certainly delivered on that, it felt like a decent hike to get to anything else outside of the hotel.

We went up to the top floor to access the bar and it was closed! Very strange because the hotel was extremely busy. Why would it be closed?!

Very Good
Room comfort, cleanliness, and amenities were excellent
The bathroom was loud/echo-ey and you could hear everything from the bed/room, even when the bathroom door was closed. It was a little difficult with us having 2 kids and the flushing/sink/showering being so loud from the bed. Also could have used more food/convenience options on property. Having young kids, we rely on that option. Ended up uber eats delivering most of our meals. The restaurant on property was extremely pricey.

What’s not to like. Beautiful hotel in a great location. I had a very large suite which was spectacular. The breakfast was exceptional as was the service. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The sushi restaurant was first class wonderful. The smallish bar had great bartenders. Just a great stay
