Wonderful
Nice Japanese style with an interior garden. Quaint and charming.
The staff was very friendly and VERY HELPFUL! One of our big suitcases fell apart and the staff helped us locate a nearby shop that was open early in the morning and called a cab for us. They helped save the trip for us.
The hotel has two private onsen baths that you can rent for 500 yen for 40 minutes. Holds two people. Very nice.
We had a Queen room, but the bed was actually two small twin beds pushed together. I would recommend the 100% Japanese rooms with futon instead of rooms with beds.
Breakfast has to be ordered in advance. We had the Japananese salmon breakfast and the granola breakfast. Both were veey good.
Down the street about 5 minutes walk is a tiny Chinese restaurant called Fuji. Only five seats. It is EXCELLENT! Run by obaasan and ojiisan.
Room was a little tight by American standards, but big by Japan standards.

Everything was lovely! The staff were kind and helpful, incredibly accommodating. The Salmon Set breakfast was AMAZING, truly such a lovely start to the day. Rooms were decent size with clean futon setups!

Wonderful
It’s small, lovely hotel with welcoming staff. The rooms are cool and quiet. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the larger train station. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, which is nice after a day in the busier areas.
It’s just a bit of a hike to the big station.

One of our favorite parts of the Edo Sakura was the staff, especially Bebe who helped my friend and I check out on our final morning. We had a lovely chat with her about our plans to visit Kyoto and Osaka, as well as my friend's art and my doctoral studies. The other staff members were similarly friendly and we loved talking to them while we were eating breakfast—which was also excellent!
Our room was comfortable, with two futon beds and yukata. There is an in-room, personal air conditioner that we were able to set to our preferred temperature and other amenities, such as a kettle.

The rooms were gorgeous, traditional tatami mat room. A had a big window and the afternoon and sunset light came in perfectly. Such a mood! I felt so serene and at peace in this room for a full week! The location is in a nice more quiet neighborhood but so easy to walk to lots of parts of Tokyo, and also lots of trains nearby. Loved my stay!

Traditional Japanese room, tatami mats and futon mattress. Loved the Onsen, hotel was clean he location was good and staff exceptional.
Only thing I would change is that there were not a lot of restaurants nearby but it's walking distance to public transport and easy to get around.

Staff was so friendly, the traditional room was wonderful, the breakfast was exquisite, and the private baths were so relaxing!
Unfortunately the tea ceremonies were very rare, which wasn’t well explained in the booking. We were there late December and they have not had a tea ceremony since October. But the staff was so friendly and they showed us the tea ceremony room and explained so much!

Wonderful
Amazing staff, very kind and helpful! They were definitely the best part of the hotel. (I think everyone spoke English and a member of staff even spoke French). It's a little far from the Yamanote line but a decent walk to the Hibiya line. It has a private sentou.
The private sentou's bath is really small but it's still nice after a long day. The rooms are minuscule but for that price in Tokyo you won't find much bigger I suppose.

Very Good
Great location, wonderful staff, really feels like a traditional Japanese experience.
Room was small, and since you sleep on the floor there is really no furniture. It’s not bad, it just takes some getting used to.

Wonderful
Rooms are lovely. Not huge (bathrooms are quite small), but certainly big enough for two people. The staff were wonderful! They gave us extra futons to sleep on and extra pillows. Futons and pillow here were more comfortable than a previous ryokan we stayed at. Also, this was one of the best breakfasts we had. They had a lot of different options. They're in the Asakusa district which is one of my favorite parts of Tokyo, and only five minutes from a subway stop and a mini mart.
The location, while convenient to the subway, isn't near much you can walk to. So it's a bit of a hike to get near most shops or restaurants, but not bad. Maybe 15-25 minutes.

Staff was very pleasant.
The traditional bed was a bit hard but the staff provided an extra mattress and it was so much better.

Wonderful
I tried the traditional breakfast, and it was very delicious. The neighborhood seems more residential, so I had to go to different neighborhoods for food and shopping. I loved the traditional aspects of the hotel, like the rooms, and the "in and out" notification method at the check-in stand.
I was disappointed with the public bath, as it didn't resemble the picture featured online, and it was one of the main selling points for the hotel for me to book.
