super close to a central tube station, a very charming couple run the authentic accommodation, easy to access many great places in Tokyo, all in all a very good experience
For me personally everything was great, but for some people not used to Japanese style accommodation, the beds could be hard (Futon), and the walls are very thin in the old house. But personally I enjoyed the stay.

A traditional ryokan in the heart of Tokyo run by a darling lady who was born in that very house neither today nor yesterday. An exceptionally quaint, soulful and homely stay is guaranteed!
These aren't dislikes but the traveller needs to know in advance that this is a traditional ryokan guest house. We pampered westerners will be unused to sleeping on futons and remembering that our neighbours are only a paper wall away. So know what to expect, savour the experience and you'll love it. I did!

A traditional Japanese house is very exciting for us. every day cleaning the rooms. Very good location in Tokyo, next to the metro station and easy to go everywhere. there are many restaurants and markets nearby.

Its right outside exit 7 of the Takadanobaba station, The feel if the room was authentic, It was clear that the lady who runs the place cares very much about maintaining it.
The room was rather cold and the small heater wasnt able to battle it well, The futon was a bit thin and we could feel the floor underneath us, The stairs were an experience each time we used them.

The staff are really nice and the location is amazing for the price. It felt like I was staying in someone's home and it was really cozy. Even though the walls were thin, we had the privacy of our own room.

Location: few steps (literally) to a Tokyo subway station which was very convenient. JR yamanote line is also close (5 min walk) Room: it was cozy. The beddings were comfy! Vicinity: Starbucks (yes!), supermarkets and drugstore that offer tax free shopping Cleanliness: staff cleans often.
This was my fault, not in any way of the property. I was travelling with my mom (almost 70 yo) there were stairs plus we did not anticipate our luggage being heavy lol. The place is best for travellers who travel lightly and enjoy an experience being in a traditional stay in Japan. We enjoyed our stay!

Really friendly host. Great value for money. Useful location only a few minutes from the nearest subway station, and across the road from a supermarket. We'd read that it could be cold in the room but we were provided a heater and the bed was warmed up prior to our arrival, so we didn't have an issue. Very basic all-round, but extremely clean and a lovely host. Enjoyed our stay!
It's a ryokan, so do not expect hotel or hostel facilities. Small room (not a problem for us) so be aware if you have lots of luggage. Narrow stairs and fragile walls.
