This hotel is located a short walk from Kanda station which is one stop from Tokyo station and surrounding areas we wanted to visit. We are also a short walk from Akihabara and Guitar street. The shampoo/body wash in the room were awesome. so sad that it isn't available to order outside of Japan.
We booked the largest room which would be considered tiny on western standards. We packed light and had issues with our carry-on luggage in the room with ourselves. We made it work but keep this in mind when booking if you don't pack light.

Wonderful
We really enjoyed the breakfast. The location is excellent—being near Kanda Station made it incredibly easy to travel to other areas using the JR Yamanote Line and the subway. The staff were friendly and helpful, and having a convenience store right next door was a big plus.
The dining area on the 2nd floor is closed off in the evenings for guests who just want to use the microwave. I understand the space is primarily for breakfast, but it would be great to have the option to sit and eat there for dinner instead of having to carry our microwaved food all the way back to our room.

This is my fourth time staying at this hotel. I like the location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the amenities, the breakfast option, the laundry area and vending machine, and the complimentary luggage shipping service.
The old TV. It doesn't have options to put Netflix or other streaming services. I stayed in sotetsu hotels in Sapporo, Nagano and they have better TVs.

The rooms were quiet and were kept impeccably clean by the staff, who offer a free room cleaning service.
The staff are very accommodating and helpful. Beds are comfy, bathrooms are equipped with heated/bidet equipped Japanese toilets and deep baths with warm water on tap.
The location is arguably the greatest asset of the hotel, with Akihabara Electric Town only a ten minute walk across the river to the north. Kanda station is a 5 minute walk to the west and allows access to the whole metro/rail system and there is a 7-Eleven next door to the hotel with an international ATM for foreign guests to withdraw yen-cash. The area surrounding the hotel has a wide assortment of restaurants for very reasonable prices.
Washing Facilities:
The clothes washing facilities are very limited: two medium sized top-loading machines and two small dryers with half the capacity of the washing machines shared amongst all guests (about 80 rooms).
Wash cycles take 30 minutes and drying cycles about 60 for anything other than very light clothes, and often guests are late to remove their clothes from the dryers, further lengthening the wait.
This is the only minor issue we encouraged, just plan to wash in small loads of 1 or 2 days clothing and set aside 1+1/2 hours

This is my second time staying at the Tokyo-Kanda location. The location is excellent for those looking to travel around and enjoy the city (multiple train and subway stations within a 7 - 10 minute walk). It is quite busy during work hours, but the area calms down after sunset and there are a great variety of food options within walking distance. The room was always very clean and the hotel has well-functioning washer (around 300 yen) and dryer (100yen per 30 mins) facilities, vending machine, and free amenties (toothbrushes, pajamas, sunscreen etc). The staff are helpful and kind and speak multiple languages. Never had any issues with noise from outside or from other guest rooms.
I would not recommend this hotel for families or groups of friends as the rooms are very cramped and small, however, it is great for solo-travellers or couples looking for somewhere simple that ticks all the boxes. To give a rough idea of size, there is not sufficient room to lay a medium-large suitcase on the floor and the bathroom has standing room for one person only.

Fair
Staff was friendly and very helpful. Check in was fast.
The location was a bit far from the train station and the room was very small for the price - it wasn't big enough inside to fully open a large wheeled suitcase. The mattress pad had been washed but looked like there were some previous stains on it.

The room was small but had everything we needed. Everything was new and very clean. Various amenities, such as shampoo, bath additives, tea, and coffee, were available at the reception for everyone to pick up. The location is very convenient, with plenty of restaurants nearby and close to the station, yet without crowds. The staff were wonderful, they helped us send our luggage to the next hotel and even suggested the cheapest option. Overall, we had a great stay. I would definitely recommend this place and stay again the next time I’m in Tokyo.

About a 5 minute walk from Kanda station. The room was very quiet
Room was smaller but average size for Tokyo. It would be nice if there were some English channels on the TV
