The size of the room - spacy!

Lovely gowns - i wanted to buy them, but they were not available.
The website says there are pajamas, but they provided gowns, not PJs.

Wonderful
The location was perfect for our 4 night stay in Tokyo. The hotel is in a very quiet area of Shinjuku (Nishi), just across from a shady park. It’s a short walk across the park to the Tochomae metro station and to the Tokyo metropolitan building. The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk to the heart of Shinjuku and to the Meiji jingu shrine.
Our room was small but functional (we travel very light), and very quiet.
We didn’t include breakfast with our stay but enjoyed really good coffee (perfect cortados) from the cafe and delicious pastries from the bakery. We even enjoyed a happy hour draft on the small pleasant terrace.
The staff is courteous and competent handling luggage transfers etc.
I stressed about booking a hotel in Shinjuku are after so many people advised me to stay in Shibuya- but I am so glad that I didn’t heed their advice.
The hotel doesn’t feel Japanese in the slightest, but maybe that’s an okay way to start a trip.
The beds are a little too firm.
The bakery observes “vegan Sundays” so on Sundays the pastries and sandwiches aren’t as good ( except if you’re a vegan- obv).

Very nice vibes with music, bakery , bar/ restaurant right in the building. A nice quiet area of Shinjuku. It is a 15-20min walk to the main station but there are so much more bus routes and small train lines within 5-15min walking distance
The washroom had a step up to it. No fan in there so it gets humid in there quick.

Poor
The park across the road was nice. The hotel is within walking distance of Shinjuku Station but removed from the overly crowded central area of Shinjuku.
I would not stay at The Knot Shinjuku again. The room was significantly smaller than advertised, and the bed was too small for two adults to sleep comfortably. The shower was positioned beneath a low bulkhead, making it impossible to stand upright.
When we raised our concerns and asked to cancel our stay, no refund was offered. We then requested a trundle bed or floor mattress, but neither was available. Our only option was to pay extra to upgrade to a room with two single beds.
The hotel also felt tired and worn, particularly the hallways, which were marked and in need of repainting. Combined with indifferent service and limited facilities, the hotel offered poor value for money. Overall, it felt like guest comfort was secondary to cost-cutting measures.

Good
Great location in Shinjuku, walking distance from the station and nice park access nearby.
The rooms were tiny and the bed/pillows were very uncomfortable. Bathroom even tinier. So we felt the rates were too high for that reason.

LOCATION: Loved the location! About a 12-15 min lovely walk to Shinjuku station, but there are other stations just around the corner. Not in the crazy busy part of Shinjuku, but I thought it was just perfect. Close enough to quickly walk to the action but far enough that it was super quiet. I was a solo female and still felt safe walking alone even when it was dark.
ROOM: My room was comfortable for 1 person (it was for 2) but I feel like 2 people would definitely have a struggle. There were however larger rooms so be conscious of that when booking.
BREAKFAST: Breakfast was great but same thing every single day. When you're staying for a week it can get to be a bit too much. But everything really was fresh and tasty.
STAFF: Hardly interacted with any staff to be honest and anytime I had to they were pretty neutral. I prefer neutral than not nice!
CLEANLINESS: Super clean facility. No complaints at all. It was just want you would want and need.
OTHER: Incredible little Bakery!! Always had a line and things sell out by early afternoon sometimes so stock up! The 2 restaurants were always great too. Wish they were open a bit later but very delicious.
Fell in love with Tokyo. Thank you!

Wonderful
Room as expected was on the small side but more than adequate. Staff serviced the room everyday to our request. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very good although I would say the lunch buffet was a little expensive, but convenient if you need an easy option for lunch
The laundry facilities are a little limited- they were constantly in use with on one occasion one guest tied up all three machines

Wonderful
Loved the bakery the most honestly! I am vegan and it was amazing to go down every day to pick up some delicious baked goods (especially vegan Sunday).
The hotel is very chic and modern with a cool aesthetic. The location worked well for us and fortunately we mostly got around by bus rather than navigating Shinjuku station.
The rooms feel especially small and there are some items like a table that just take away from extra space for moving about. It’s a tight fit for 2 people and you can’t even store a bag under the beds.

Disappointing
Honestly nothing
The location wasn’t great. They put us on the 1st floor and the 1st room so it was extremely loud. And something was in my room or bed that bit me.

Wonderful
We enjoyed our stay at The Knot Hotel. Our top priority was the location, and we couldn't have been happier with it. We were able to get anywhere quickly by bus and subway, although we preferred taking the bus. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated having a water kettle and a small refrigerator in our room. We also received tea, fresh towels, and two bottles of water every day, which felt very luxurious.
The only thing we wish we had more of was space and a small closet or a designated area for clothes and luggage. We will book a bigger room next time.
