Very Good
I stayed for the Tokyo Marathon 2026. Eventhough my corral is just a few meters from the hotel, the gate where i should enter was 500m away. But the hotel was clean, quiet, posh restaurants.
Expensive but it was because of the Tokyo Marathon weekend. Cost of hotels around the start area were insanely expensive!!! Also, room space was on the small side.

Wonderful
Overall this was an excellent experience. The location is great especially for those of us here for the marathon-it’s a very short walk to the start. The staff was fantastic.
The rooms are very small, to be expected here in Japan. The bathrooms are really tight-they’re a step from the bedroom. Also, the shower is in a very deep tub. One of us has mobility issues and it was concerning.

Great bakery in lobby. Nice Italian restaurant on the second floor. Very nice staff
Room was very small, difficult to store 2 pieces of luggage. Bathroom shower ceiling was very low, kept banging my head

Poor
The location was reasonably good as it was near the start of the marathon, for which I was visiting Tokyo.
The room was incredibly small with four beds jammed into a tiny space, with no space to even sit down! There does not seem to be much in the way of house keeping. The staff were the least friendly of all the hotels we stayed at in Tokyo.

Very Good
Comfortable, nice trendy hotel. In front of a park and close to bus stops.
Bathroom feels like a modern porta potty - you can hear everything in the room when you are in it. It was very small and not great space.

Wonderful
Every thing was great, from the breakfast to the room and also the very helping staff. Breakfast is delicious, western but variety lacks, pretty much the same each day.
Sadly, I can't say this place is worth what you pay for it. The price if definitely high considering the amount of time you need to walk to get to Shinjuku station (about 15min), the Breakfast is decent but still can get an excellent one, at a lower price, outside, it is Tokyo and the variety is huge.

Very Poor
The staff was very polite and helpful in letting us modify our reservation so we could leave early. The restaurant was nice and the breakfast was good.
Unfortunately the place was very crowded, loud, and very dirty. We were uncomfortable and wanted to cut our stay short.

Good
The hotel is centrally located and accessible to taxi, bus, and train stations. The building is clean and there are food options nearby. The beds were comfortable.
The standard room is small. The bathroom is elevated and small. There's a huge step to get into the bathroom which was a hindrance to the disabled.

Wonderful
Wonderful stay! The staff at Knot were incredibly welcoming. Our room was spacious, clean, and perfectly located near Shinjuku central park. The breakfast buffet was a highlight—great variety

Wonderful
The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and we were very happy here. The breakfast was great value, the restaurant had great food and the staff is warm and friendly. We loved our stay here and would come back again.
Having a closet in the room would’ve been really nice. Just somewhere to put luggage.

Very Good
Clean and nice room which was a fairly good size for Japanese hotel rooms. We loved the coin laundry in the hotel as well as the restaurant and bakery in the hotel which had great and convenient food. Staff were always friendly and helpful and there was someone at the front desk all the time. One of the best features of this hotel was the scales in the lobby to weigh luggage as well as the 2 sets of lifts which ensured that we never waited long to get to our floor.
This wasn't the best location, we found it to be very far from Shinjuku and Nishi-Shinjuku stations. It's about a 20 minute walk to Shinjuku station and 10 minutes to Nishi-Shinjuku station however the benefit of this is that it is very quiet around the hotel. The room was quite small especially compared to other Knot hotels we stayed in other areas of Japan. We didn't really feel that this hotel was worth the money as we payed nearly $2000 AUD for 6 nights (keep in mind we did visit in peak season in February)!

Wonderful
There is a bakery located in the lobby of the hotel that makes breakfast beyond the regular dinning hall easy. There is a 7-11 and like three different Lawson stores just down the street of the hotel which makes a convinient snack or cheap food run. The location is in a quiet pocket which makes it nice to walk around without the stress. The room was faced over the park which provides a lovely sunset to look out the window on. They provide you a toothbrush and small toothpaste toiletry and waters in you're room.
There wasn't much I didn't like, the only negative thing was the pillows were a little hard but that could just be a preference thing.

Pleasant
Staff was lovely and the location was great! Breakfast was really good- they had western and local options. Additionally, breakfast was always smooth as was the check in/check out process.
The rooms themselves were not as good as I had hoped. They were small which is fine, but the bathroom was odd (like a tin can) and smelled like mold.

Likes the vibe, location and the staff. The bakery was also very good!
The beds were a little hard, but i guess that’s how it is in Japan! The bathroom was small.

Exceptional
The Knot Hotel in Shinjuku is incredibly chic and thoughtfully designed. The lobby bar and restaurant create a lively, buzzing atmosphere that feels fun and social without ever being too loud or overwhelming. It’s the kind of energy that makes the hotel feel alive, not chaotic. There’s also a café on-site, which is extremely convenient for quick breakfasts or coffee on the go. The location is outstanding. The hotel is very close to Shinjuku Station, making it easy to get anywhere in Tokyo. Shibuya and Harajuku are just a few miles away on either side, and if you enjoy walking and exploring, you can even make your way there on foot while discovering different neighborhoods along the way. The room itself was spotless and very well-equipped. I appreciated the little details like bathrobes and slippers, which were nice additions. The bathroom was spacious by Tokyo standards, and everything felt modern and well-maintained. It’s surprisingly hard to find a hotel in Tokyo that offers two twin beds at a great price point, and The Knot delivers on that—plus so much more. Despite the hotel being busy and full of energy, the rooms are impressively soundproofed. Once inside, it’s quiet and relaxing. The beds were incredibly comfortable—I’ve honestly never slept so soundly while traveling. If you’re looking for a stylish, well-located hotel with great value, comfort, and atmosphere, The Knot Hotel in Shinjuku is an excellent choice. I will definitely stay here again!
There is only one pillow per bed.

Clean, comfortable bed and room.
The clientele, too crowded and business. Also a little far from the train station to keep walking back and forth.
