Room was clean with everything you need. Rooms in Tokyo are small, especially as we were friends not partners. Breakfast was a mix of Japanese and Western, as a celiac I was only able to eat a few items - eg boiled eggs in shell, salad, and small serving of raw fish. I knew that would be difficult before we went.

Very Old and outdated, room had very poor ventilation, ended up checking out the first night and found another hotel nearby because we weren’t comfortable sleeping there, the pictures looks nice but in reality everything is worn down, the value for money was just not there. Wayyyy better hotels out there

I recently stayed at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel in the Annex Tower (29th floor & 32nd floor), and it truly exceeded expectations. From the front desk and housekeeping to the “answers desk” and taxi scheduling (Mahalo Ayako!), every interaction reflected excellent customer service and care. When I inquired about a late checkout, I was kindly advised to join the Seibu Prince Club—membership made the late checkout free, which was such a thoughtful perk. The staff’s attentiveness and seamless coordination made my stay stress-free and enjoyable. Another huge convenience: the Shinagawa rail station is located right across the street, making travel around Tokyo and beyond incredibly easy. Having my grandson with us on this trip, the hotel’s amenities were a wonderful bonus. The aquarium was especially impressive, offering not only beautiful exhibits but also a dolphin show. The bowling alley added to the fun, making the hotel feel like a destination in itself. ***McDonald's was nearby and the COST of food was very "inexpensive" compared to Hawaii. Beyond the hotel, the culture in Japan impressed me deeply. Every encounter was marked by courtesy and politeness, embodying the spirit of omotenashi—wholehearted hospitality. I highly recommend the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Annex Tower for anyone seeking comfort, convenience, family-friendly amenities, and genuine care during their stay in Tokyo.
The only downside was the coin laundry in the Main Tower. The dryer took a lot of COINS and found out that you could only place 3-4 pieces of clothing in the dryer whether you used the big dryer or the standard dryer. It took me 3-1/2 hrs to complete 2 full load washers.

The baggage check-in and luggage storage queues are very long, as is the breakfast queue which is quite long. The room was quite old, the bed ruuner was very dirty, as if it had never been cleaned.

Location to train stations and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and organized. We had a nice corner room with great views. The beds were comfortable and when we requested additional pillows someone was there very quickly.

Breakfast is delicious - we like Japanese food so the buffet offerings suited our tastes. There was a variety of foods and enjoyed the fresh salad and fruit items. Restaurant staff is friendly and while the queue to get into breakfast may be long - the queue moves along. Rooms are clean and we like the designated elevators for floors - helps to spread out the guests moving to their rooms. Hotel baggage storage staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is across from Shinagawa station making it easy to access parts of Tokyo via train.
