Traditional ryokan a stones throw from the historical temple. Exceptional staff made you feel at home. The room made you feel like you stepped back time which was what we were hoping for. They hosted a local cultural event in front of the ryokan the day we arrived. We saw beautiful singing/dancing/instrumental performances. The onsen was beautiful and awesome view of Tokyo SkyTree.

Owner rude not respectful of customers. I had a conversation with the facility where I asked to leave my luggage one day before my stay and they responded in the affirmative. I showed up at the facility to leave my luggage and the rude owner said it was not possible denying the conversation happened through "booking". He denied having a conversation about 'booking' with us even though I had shown him. Despite the fact that I had shown him the conversation.
Don't go spend your money better the facility smells old, also at 09:55 am with a very arrogant manner he called us from the room phone that we had to leave at 10:00 am. At 10:00 am the cleaning ladies started knocking with insistent and rude manner, in all this we were ready and were leaving the room. All this for your information.

Great location and very nice staff
Bed mats were very thin. Needed to get more to make it comfortable (slept in other traditional places and they were comfortable).
Also wasnt very clean. Had mold in the first room we got. Bathroom was a bit claustrophobic

The property is very close to all the main attractions in Asakusa. The staff at the ryokan were very kind. The room was small (for European standards) but very comfortable to stay in. As a bonus, we had a great view on the pagoda.

Close to Senso ji, the cypress bath is spectacular and the staff were polite helpful and delightful to speak with, such a peaceful space in such a busy area, definitely a gorgeous place to rest for the night, away from the madness of Tokyo!
