Very Good
Very near everything in Asakusa
5th floor location. During weekend and lots of people uses the elevator, it’s hard to go up and down.

Room was very small. I have innitially booked single room by mistake. Once arrived staff advised that they can upgrade to an family room which has 2x double bed and required exter 15,000 yen or I can cancel the booking. Went in to the room after paying extra 15k yen and realised it has only 2x single beds in a very tiny room which we cannot keep our luggages as well. After advising the same staff he asked another 500 yen to upgrade to a bigger room and refused to refund saying it is too late now. Left thotel with taking my 15,000 back without the original booking amount and satyed somwhere else. Staff lied and seems they want to take only the money without a good service. Seems like a scam.

Wonderful
We loved the location; a live night life; breakfast had more options for western taste compared to other hotels we stayed in which we loved. We certainly would consider this hotel again
Air conditioning in the lobby wasn’t the best; be aware of strict check out time; we gave them the keys 30 minutes late, and was charged 1000 yen

We first chose the Richmond for its location and that is our main reason for returning time after time, however the staff is also exceptional. Most rooms are rather small, however we do not tend to spend much time in our rooms!
We love the "Tea Time/Happy Hour" and would enjoy having a bit longer to relax and chat about our day together.

The location was excellent, one block from the shrine, a quick train ride from Sky Tree and across the street from Don Quijote Store.
the rooms were very small, this was the smallest room we stayed in Japan.

Location was excellent, room was very clean and fresh, staff was wonderful. Amenities were awesome: from the free coffee machine (delicious) to the complimentary bath salts and face masks, skin products. Really great hotel!
No complaints whatsoever.

Good
Free water dispenser and complementary alcohol and snacks
Asakusa Express station is not the same as the normal station. Was quite a bit of a walk. Rooms were not design nicely. Big tables and headboard took up space so it felt cramped.

Very Good
Great location in a historic neighborhood. Nice breakfast with omelettes cooked to order and a good variety of food. The complementary evening drinks and snacks in the dining room were nice. Fantastic view of the Skytree.
Room was small and the bed was on the hard side although the bedding and pillows were lovely.

Ran out of special banana muffins often because very popular. Toaster wasn't working on our last day. But these things happen.
