The lounge and cafe is very chill and cute. Delicious coffee and food. The curtains on the dorm beds were good at blocking light, and I appreciated the complimentary ear plugs.
Not a very social hostel as a solo traveler

Location (I loved staying in Kuramae, it’s beautiful and has great little restaurants and coffee shops), the restaurant/bar on the first floor (delicious breakfast, good drinks, and a nice crowd), very clean, and one of the bar staff gave me a dinner recommendation to a little ramen shop a couple of blocks from the hostel, and it was probably the best ramen I had during my trip. Go there.

Very Good
Great lobby / cafe space with excellent food. Bunk bed provided privacy features and a place to hold your personal items.
More storage space.

Wonderful
Overall just awesome. Very comfy beds, clean, and fun vibe. Great breakfast options too actually.
Only thing is it’s a little far from some areas of Tokyo, so maybe do a few nights here and a few nights in a hostel in another part of Tokyo so you can transit less. Overall great spot tho.

Good location, cozy and super clean, the staff are supe nice and take good care of the place.
Best bunk bed ever, durable and good mattress.
We had a lovely time
Only thing is please add brushed in the toilet so guests in shared bathrooms can keep it clean. Even though the bathrooms are cleaned regularly by the staff, this can be super helpful

Good
The location cannot be beat — crafty residential neighborhood minutes from the train. The room is pretty spacious and staff were kind.
The rooms are not well insulated and a little damp. The lounge downstairs does not allow guests to bring their own food or beverages even though it is much more appealing and social than the communal kitchen.

Wonderful
We all around love Nui and HIGHLY recommend it. We loved it so much we extended our stay by 4 days. The location is amazing. Train station right around the corner, proximal to Asakusa shrine, tons of places to eat nearby. The aesthetic of Nui is really cool. You can easily work upstairs, lovely kitchen facilities which is adjacent to the laundry room. Very convenient to do computer work, play games, make food and do laundry all in one location. Traveled with my 14 year old son and we stayed in a private bunkbed room. So perfect for us both. Beds very comfortable. Room under bed for storing luggage, bathroom was just down the hall and despite being co-ed, felt private. Showers are amazing. Such great water pressure and water stays hot. Food at the restaurant downstairs is delicious and affordable. We got the included breakfast when I booked and so pleased that we did. Highly recommend. With that said, the alcoholic beverages are severely under poured. They do not give even one full shot liquor and put the biggest piece of ice you will ever see to take up the entire glass. Better to just get a beer if you like beer. Unfortunately, I do not like beer.
You can't take guests with you upstairs and downstairs doesn't really feel welcoming to Nui hostel guests when the restaurant is busy. Tried to meet up with my foreign exchange sister that I haven't seen in 30 years and was informed I couldn't take her up to the common area despite there being nowhere downstairs for us to sit and chat. When I attempted to sit down to wait for my son that was still upstairs, I was promptly moved along. Effectively there is no lobby for Nui hostel guests at this location unless the restaurant isn't busy.

The cafe/lounge area was very nice. 90% of the staff were extremely welcoming, professional, and helpful. The drinks and food at the cafe/lounge area is convenient to have at the hostel.
The sleeping rooms would get stuffy when full. 4 bunk beds (8 people) in a room, would get crowded when full.

The restaurant downstairs has nice coffee, and we had a good lunch there. The common room upstairs was nice.
The room was a bit small, mostly just a bed.

Staff were really nice.
Everywhere was clean.
Close to metro station so getting there while dragging suitcase was fine.
I was in a 8 people room and the ventilation during the night wasn't that good
Sheets and everything were super clean.
I really liked it there.
In a 8 people room, ventilation during the night wasn't that good.
