Nice and clean, small rooms adhere to the Japanese tradition. Has restaurant in building so had nice Japanese dinner. Staff very helpful. Has a large public bath (hot tub) which was great for relaxing muscles after a long day of site seeing. In city with lots of things to see locally.

The location was good. Close to train station. The staff was polite. The room was clean.
The hotel's policy was extremely strict and it spoiled the experience. We made a mistake and didn't notice that the check-out was late (in all the other places we stayed in Japan - 6 hotels, the check-out time was 11). We asked to use the hotel facilities for a fee and it was not possible (a man who is also accepted in hotels for no fee). They allowed us to extend our stay in the room for a fee. We could choose between two hours for an hourly fee or a stay longer than two hours and a full day fee. Our flight was late and we wanted to be in the room. We chose the two-hour fee. Even though we were given the option (if we paid) to stay longer. After an hour and 55 minutes, the staff started to urge us to leave because there were guests in the room. It is not clear whether this was a deterrent, but we were offered to pay for the night and change as many times as we wanted. Why were they urging us to leave even though it was not past check-out time. It is very unacceptable not to allow guests to use the hotel facilities after check-out, even for a fee.

The breakfast was awesome - a traditional Japanese breakfast with miso soup, various small dishes, and tamagoyaki. I also really enjoyed access to the large and amenities-filled public bath on the second floor. It was nice knowing that my safety as a woman is prioritized with the bath too - the women's bath (contrary to the men's) is locked and you have to ask the front desk for the key to access it.
I accidentally only booked for myself, and had to add my partner when we arrived day-of (oops). I was surprised to find that the price of the room increased nearly $50 just because another person was staying with me. The room itself was already set-up for two people: a full bed, two sets of towels and toiletries, even two robes and slipper sets for the bath. I wish there was not this extra cost for more people. I'm still confused by it.

The public bath was perfect after a long day of walking. The staff were impeccably helpful. Very clean interior and exterior. Location is excellent.
Some guests were very loud in the bath. Perhaps a sign before entering to keep it a quiet space would be helpful. Instructions in other languages for laundry use would be nice. There were quite a few guests who weren’t sure how to use or who overstuffed the machines and took hours to dry their clothes.

Pleasant staff. Facilities were modern. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, we had a good nights sleep. We liked that the location is quieter, but very much within walking distance to the JR and subway stations. Some good options within walking distance to eat. We felt it was good value.

The hotel is in a good location, close to rail/subway stations, Nihonbashi Bridge, hustle&bustle and upmarket shopping. My Western-style room was minuscule and overlooked the backs of tall buildings. Luckily I didn't want to spend much time there.
The breakfast is not a buffet but a set Western or Asian meal brought out on a tray to each diner. It wasn't very good.

Efficient and friendly staff, including those who could speak English and those do were not. The public bath was great for non-local to experience a time-tested Japanese culture. I recommend this hotel for both work and leisure travel.
At the public bath, despite many posters put up to inform users of rules, there were groups that gathered in the men's bath and talked loudly. Not sure how the hotel could enforce this though.

Great location, one stop away on the metro from Tokyo Station. Super friendly staff that are always accommodating and will to help. Room types vary, so room choice is key for an enjoyable stay.
Breakfast is pretty sad. Give it a skip if you're paying additional.
