Would choose this hotel again for Location alone and ease of transportation. The large rooms and views were nice. It was nice having the laundry service. Although close to Shinjuku craziness., is very quiet.
Although the location was excellent close to transportation and walkable to Meiji Jingu Shrine, Cat street, etc, the immediate surroundings are a little sterile with American restaurants… Shake shack, Starbucks…

The location to the transportation hub in Shinjuku was paramount to our choice in deciding which hotel. The room was spacious & very comfortable. The sounds from the trains from the nearby station were mitigated by the height of the hotel. The lobby, for example, is located on the 20th floor so all rooms were all high w good to great views of the area. Above road/track walkway was helpful in access to the station.
Breakfast buffet was very good with a mix of Japanese & Western choices. The nearby restaurants, cafes & snack shops were plentiful.
Access to the subway lines were myriad & easy to get lost. Clarification on Booking.com should be a consideration. My wife used Odakyu Hotel Southern Century to ask the taxi driver for the ride, he knew it best w/o Odakyu.
A suggestion: Hotel should indicate the rush hour flow for both morning & evening. Shinjuku is one of the busiest commuter hubs in Tokyo, so if the guest is flexible, then the reward is a more comfortable public transport option.

Odor - the entire floor had funky smell. My guess was the floor used to be smoking OK area and they switched to non-smoking without proper remodeling

+ Cleaning of all kinds is possible from eco cleaning to full room cleaning, cleaning is done at noon, which is very comfortable for days where you need to sleep in or not feeling well
- No smart TV, so no casting
- WiFi is quite slow
- Water in the bidet in the toilet is always uncomfortably hot, also the toilet does random splashing noises when sitting on it for a while, there's no way to disable either of these things
- It's not possible to order breakfast in the hotel's restaurant ahead of time through Booking, only while in the hotel
- Air conditioner is primitive and has very little control, it's specifically missing a mode control, it simpmy switches between heating and cooling according to the temperature, and there's no remote, which caused some harsh nights
- No laundromat
- Bed pillows are too soft
- Windows cannot be opened, so no ventillation

The Odakyu Hotel Century Southern Tower checked every box. Five minutes on foot to Shinjuku Station, walking distance to a wealth of restaurants and major attractions, and a staff that was genuinely warm and accommodating throughout. When the rain arrived — two of our three days — borrowing umbrellas from the hotel was effortless. The rooms were a good size with fabulous views.
Everything you need, right where you need it. Highly recommend.

Perfect location and very nice hotel. I’ve stayed there before and the rooms do vary even if booking the same type. Some are a little more updated and this time ours was older. Still it was a great choice for our trip.
