Loved the location!
How uncomfortable the beds were.

Wonderful
We were surprised the room was so quiet! Very convenient for eating out. Close to rail, has a laundry, vending machines, microwave and gym. The robots were a fun novelty - have your video ready as it's over pretty quickly and you can't repeat it!
Not enough storage space in room - could have done with hooks on the wall. I'd skip the drying cupboard next time - better off to have more room, as it took up quite a lot of space.

Pleasant
Staff was very helpful, especially the guy who helped us deal with a small emergency on the evening of Nov 3. Ge refused to give his name, but seemed to be of south asian descent.
The automated system interface with customers could be improved. I think the intuition behind the system follows the Japanese way of thinking. If you choose ENGLISH, have an English-speaking person review the interface.

Very Good
This was our first stay straight from the airport - we appreciated the ease of check in (although staff needed to help, as the robots had a tough time with our hyphenated last name - but staff was immediately available). The room was very small, but not the smallest through our tour of Japan. Room was very clean and the two regular beds were comfy - we were three adults traveling and the third futon was a bit hard, but ok. Neighborhood was great and it was easy to get to. Appreciated being able to lock up our luggage at no cost the day of departure.
Third bed was a bit firm for our taste.

Akasaka is a wonderful location - it gets you all around Tokyo without much hassle. The hotel rooms themselves are quite small but that's from a Westerner perspective. For Japanese standards (especially Tokyo), they suffice more than enough. Lastly, they have a vacuum bag machine in 1F for 300 yen for 3 minutes for clothes. This proved especially helpful when packing to leave as we had shopped a lot and needed the extra space this machine saved us.

Poor
It’s a decent location, and the robot receptionists were a fun novelty. When we needed something from a human staff person, they were responsive.
I was expecting the room to be small, but it was SO small. It was hard to make room to open a suitcase, nowhere to put anything, and my partner and I were climbing over each other all the time. At night, the room and the hallway filled up with a grease smoke smell. I think the exhaust from the restaurant downstairs infiltrates the ventilation system. That was the worst thing about it.

I liked the Crayon Shin-chan themed room. I liked the checking in with the robots. And the location is great! It's next to something like a mini-Korean Town. There are so many Korean yakiniku and drinking places.
It's a small, narrow place. I mean the lobby and also the rooms are not very big.

Wonderful
The room is small but very clean. The location is excellent—close to the train station and surrounded by many good restaurants.
I booked two rooms hoping they would be next to each other; however, they were on different floors. The bathroom is also quite small.

Wonderful
Easy check-in and check-out process. We each got our own comfortable bed (3 beds). The LG Styler was useful to freshen up clothes in between washings, and it was convenient to have coin operated washer and dryer in the lobby. We also liked that we had a mini fridge in the room and access to a microwave downstairs. Pajamas, toothbrushes, washcloths, razors, and q-tips are available for guests in the lobby too. There also is an electric kettle for water and green tea in the rooms. Vending machines, manga library, and a machine/bags for vacuum packing your things also available. While the room was compact, we expected this, and we had room to store and do everything we needed to do in the room. We felt quite comfortable. Room was quiet too. Location in good proximity to stations. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby too.

Place was very clean and staff was very pleasant.
It was VERY overprice and didn't offer breakfast. The place was too expensive in comparison with other hotels we stayed for the 3 weeks in Japan.
