Wonderful
Loved our stay and the Grand Prince. The location was perfect for going around the city but quiet and relaxing. We loved the garden as the cherry blossoms were in full effect, and having a 7/11 and great breakfast onsite was a major plus. View of Tokyo tower made the nighttime view extra special.

We liked the staff. They seem to go out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable one. They were very courteous and kind in making our stay a memorable experience. The nearness to Shinagawa Station was a plus. We took a shuttle to the Prince Hotel to walk to the station.

We loved our stay! it was short but great. The staff was lovely and breakfast was delicious. And the gardens were stunning. Highly recommend.
When we arrived the room was quite warm - no ac, but that was quickly remedied. They brought up a portable AC unit and it worked great. I think the heat for the whole building was still on for the season but they did what they could to make us comfortable. all good.

Part of the huge Seibu Hotels complex at Shinagawa, the Grand Prince Takanawa offered us outstanding value for a quality property. We were in a deluxe twin room with a view of the garden, and it more than met our needs with its western decor and furnishings. The room was spacious, the bathroom of good size, comfortable chairs for two, along with a separate desk chair. We liked the plentiful outlets for charging multiple devices, and the 7-11 in the hotel was very convenient. The impeccably groomed Japanese Garden among the Prince Hotels offered a quiet respite from the busy surroundings in the Shinagawa Station area, which has convenient direct access to Haneda Airport via the Keikyu Line.
As part of a large hotel complex area, plan to walk at least 8-10 minutes for restaurants in the Takanawadai Station (Toei Line) area, or 10 -12 minutes to get to Shinagawa Station area shops and restaurants.

The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Good location, lovely garden. we had a real nice city view
Although there is a spacious lobby and a 7-11 store, there is no place to sit comfortably and have a coffee or snack, except in the room. No place to sit and relax in the beautiful garden

Our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. First, the walk to the hotel requires going up a very steep hill, which may be difficult for many guests. Once we arrived, the lobby and hallways leading to the rooms were extremely dusty and had a strong chemical smell, likely from the recent renovation. Unfortunately, the smell continued inside our room. The room itself had no airflow at all. When we asked the staff about ventilation, we were told that because of the season, the air system was turned off and our only option was to open the window. However, there is construction outside, making it very noisy and not a practical solution. Another concerning issue was the condition of the surfaces in the room. When we touched the walls or walked barefoot in the bathroom, everything felt greasy and unclean, which made the space very uncomfortable. The manager explained that the hotel was newly renovated, but it honestly feels like guests are being placed in rooms immediately after renovation work, before they are properly aired out or properly cleaned. The strong chemical odor gave us headaches and raised concerns about the air quality. Communication was also challenging. English is very limited, so we had to rely on Google Translate to communicate with the staff, which made resolving issues more difficult. Overall, the environment felt unhealthy and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend staying here unless you have absolutely no other options.

room was comfortable and as expected
lots of works happening to the hotel that weren't advised in advance. we were told all of the restaurants were fully booked but could see plenty of empty tables as we walked past several times. Had to walk 15mins in the rain to get to anywhere that would serve usfood.

Staff was friendly, beds are very comfortable, rooms good size for Japan, cleaning every day and changing towels was very appreciated. The garden outside is like a dream. The view from our room was magnificent.
Staff does not speak very good english so we did not get detailed answers, but we still managed yo handle our issues so nothing special to report under negative aspects of this hotel.
