Pleasant
Location was fantastic, right next to the train station. The lobby and gardens were beautiful, and the bathrooms even had towels, unlike every other bathroom in Japan. Was a great place to just walk around and enjoy the area.
The room was very outdated compared to the lobby area. It felt like it was built in the 60s and hasn't been touched since, besides standard room service.

Poor
The room was spacious and the hotel garden is very nice.
Very outdated hotel with rooms old and not very clean. We found mold behind the curtaine and a lot of dust in the corners of the room. Staff does not speak english. The location in Shinagawa is not the best for Tokyo, and commuting to other neighborhoods of Tokyo can take a lot of time.

Exceptional
The room is really spacious compared to other Japanese hotels, particularly in Tokyo. There is a balcony from which you can see the Tokyo Tower.
None. 5 mins walk with big luggage from Shinagawa station to the hotel was not very easy.

The beds were a bit uncomfortable

Wonderful
The Garden was really nice and the hotel was relatively close to Shinagawa station which was convenient. The breakfast included in the club room was great and the lounge was lovely.
There was a lot of construction so it was a bit noisy during the day but that couldn’t be helped. The rooms were a bit dated but otherwise comfortable.

It’s clean, spacious and not too crowded. You don’t have to wait for the elevators like at a nearby hotel. The staff is professional and very helpful
It’s on an incline from the Shinagawa station

when I booked the hotel, I did not know that they had shuttle service to the Shinagawa Prince which was located next to the train station. the driver was the most courteous and friendly. We appreciated the service that the hotel provided.

Very Good
We had some good rates for this 5star hotel. The location is ok, on a small hill close to Shinagawa station, but it's around 8 mins to walk. The room (Superior twin) was very big for Tokyo standards. Had a water kettle but no coffee maker. We did not use the inhouse restaurants, many restaurants close by. The bar looked very nice (did not visit tho).

Disappointing
The entrance and the 7/11 in the first floor
It felt dirty and outdated for the price.

Very Good
The hotel facilities are excellent, and the room was very comfortable. The location is convenient, as it’s connected to the Yamanote Line and several metro lines, making it easy to travel around Tokyo.
The hotel is located quite far from the nearest station, and the walking path is steep — not ideal if you have large luggage. Please make sure to use the shuttle service instead of walking.
Also, the staff communication was below the expected standard for a hotel of this level. Many staff members had limited English skills and were not very friendly or helpful.

Location ok. 5-10 min walk uphill the main station. Room ok, but a bit dated. Fancy decorations and design. Nice views from top floors. Nice bidet, but this is standard in Japan.
Outstanding garden.
DVD in room - from probably 5-15 years ago. Curtain in showers. Thin towels. Hotel receptionists very unfriendly and slow. Luggage people also slow.
Club lounge serves only cold food and almost identical each day.
Lousy breakfast in lounge. No fresh juices. If you book club - you cannot have breakfast in main restaurant.

Clean modern and all amenities including a 7/11. Easy access to shinagawa station as an access to all points in Tokyo. Short trip to river cruises. Plenty of dining options on property and nearby. The attached garden was a tranquil oasis.
Nothing that we didn’t like

Clean room everyday and it’s spotless.
