I really enjoyed the hotels proximity to the city’s main attractions and its cleanliness
There is nothing I can say that I didn’t dislike honestly. It was spacious, great service, great atmosphere.

Good
Location is very good, central and convenient. Having the onsen was a plus and booked this for it. Even though we had a room facing the train tracks it was very quiet.
Our room was fine but the drain in the bathtub and shower were clogged. Sink faucet was loose and not tightly secured.

Location cannot be beat! If you want to be in the heart of Shibuya and near Harajuku, this is a great spot. Staff is wonderful, breakfast has so many options and complimentary afternoon ice cream was so great on hot summer days. Room was clean and had everything we needed.
Bed was not soft and only one pillow, but I think this is more about what I'm used to, I imagine this is common in Japan.

Clean, comfortable, had all the basics. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Ramen was offered in the evening (though we had a late dinner and weren’t able to take advantage of it).

Wonderful
I loved this hotel's services and amenities. Some of them include the breakfast (which we did pay extra for but don't regret), late-night noodles, public onsen, and the free ice cream treats! Despite it being one of the smaller rooms we stayed at, my husband and I really enjoyed this hotel for all of its amenities and the location!
The rooms definitely are on the smaller side, but that's what to expect in most Japanese city hotels, especially in Tokyo. I think because we came from another hotel with a much bigger room, this hotel room seemed tiny in comparison on the first day. However, because we stayed a few nights, we adjusted quite quickly.

Location was perfect for my work assignments, but it is also great for visiting Tokyo. In between Shibuya and Harajuku. Very convenient. Breakfast is great. The right mix of Japanese and Western options. Everything very fresh. The Onsen at the hotel is very nice and clean. There is also free washing machines to clean your clothes (small fee to use the dryer).
There is also a night snack (ramen or a soup) very convenient after a long day if you don't want to go out.
Also, I can not forget about the free ice cream. Overall you get a lot for what you paid.
The rooms are a bit small, but this is the standard in Japan, and one should not expect anything different. The staff at the reception have limited english, but they sure make up for it with willingness and smile.

The onsen is amazing and the best we tried. They had great amenities as well and I loved the onsen attire and slippers.
The room was a little small.

Excellent location in Shibuya, away from the craziness but close to everything. The onsen is very nice, we used it every day during our stay. Washers are free to use and dryers only 100Y for 20min. Price slightly higher than some other options cut you get what you pay for and Dormy is worth it. For someone visiting Japan for the first time this is also and excellent starting point to transition to Japanese cultural norms.
No complaints.

Great facilities nicely presented for a budget hotel with a wonderful Onzen on the second floor and very nice breakfast area. The Harajuku location close to Shibuya can’t be beaten.

Very Good
Having loved the Dormy Inn in Osaka, we found this location to be a bit sub-par. The breakfast was very basic and there was not the beloved happy hours included offering. The rooms were very small. The Onsen was large with an abundance of pools to enjoy and a very hot sauna. The staff was helpful. The nightly ramen delicious. The location was good.
Felt it was a bit harder used than other locations. The pay-to-use bar felt secluded and odd.

Wonderful
Good location and good value for money.
It was tucked away and you had to walk through a dark roadway with a small park bordering it to get there. I never felt unsafe, but you need to be aware of it.

Poor
The staff were nice... but very surprised this hotel gets such high ratings. The rooms were SO SMALL, so dated and not clean.
Rooms were very small, very dated, not clean - you can absolutely find a better hotel for same/similar costs. I was surprised it came as highly reviewed as it did.

Location was wonderful, close to everything but still tucked away and quiet. The breakfast was surprisingly delicious - lots of variety and evening was yummy.
The smoking room was so tiny. I wish my window wasn't frosted so I could have some scenery.
