The common areas of the property (the lounge/breakfast area/Jacuzzi) are really nice. The property is located away from the busy/touristy area, which was great for us.
The room was on the small side.

It's very cute and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room itself is tiny but neat. The breakfast great! It's definitely worth to visit for the experience!
It's fairly noisy, even with earplugs we woke up several times during the night due to other guests. The facilities are clean but very tiny, so much so that even trying to dry yourself after a shower is difficult. As one of the other reviews said it might be a bit more of a hostel than a Ryokan.

It is a very cozy hotel in a lovely, quiet, area. The rooms are small but functional.
It can be a bit noisy at night if guests speak in the corridors as the noise travels.

Lovely and cost-effective stay with tatami floor and futon. Room is small but cozy and comfortable, and the jacuzzi was so relaxing. Also very clean, and when you come be sure to ask the hostess for a western-style bacon and egg sandwich - it was delicious!

The ryokan has charming traditional tatami rooms, pretty artwork and a jacuzzi as part of the facilities.
I found the futon mattress and pillows very comfortable and slept really well.
Everything seems to be designed with high attention to detail. The family of the owners are friendly and helpful.
But the most exciting aspect of my stay has been the delicious home-cooked breakfasts. Both variety, quality and presentation were impeccable.

Disappointing
The dinner was good.
This is not a ryokan but a hostel. It is all shared bathrooms, toilets and showers. It is small and not easily reachable by public transport if you have luggage. The futons were not that comfortable and it was very noisy.

Very cute Japanese home made breakfast, cosy atmosphere, everything was very clean and well thought through and there is a hot tub one can book to use.

The staff was so nice and helpful! The decore is also thoughtful.
Its rather small. Some areas felt a tad cramped. But then again most of Tokyo feels that way. An elevator wouldve been nice, but there is an elevator for moving luggage up and down the property.

What a cool little spot in a quaint older neighborhood in Tokyo. The space was uniquely designed and very efficient. The staff was amazing and highly recommend breakfast or dinner with them. Just be sure to let them know before your arrival or a day in advance. The rooftop and onsen were also very nice. The rooms are small but manageable and we thoroughly found it a relaxing spot. Less is more in Japan.
Everything was great!

Super friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Beautiful clean, functional and high quality facilities. Small room, but great value for the price and very very comfortable. Shared bathroom but plenty of toilets and showers for the guests so it was never a problem. Easy access from Minowa station.
I will surely be coming back Andon Ryokan. Delicious fish breakfast as well.
Thank you Andon Ryokan!!

The property was spot clean and they have a lift for large or heavy luggage. The jacuzzi was a plus for late nights.
The rooms were very small if you carry anything but a backpack. The showers and toilet also felt quite claustrophobic.
The sound isolation was a big issue for us since we were waking up late after long days. You can hear either the other guests or the hosts even with earplugs.

Everything. The communication, the location, the rooms, the cleanliness all outstanding. The Katsu kaiseki was one of my top meals of the trip. Loved going into my traditional room, with limited distraction, and just absorbing this wonderful country. Thank you, Ishii family. <3
Something to consider with accessibility issues: I suffered a foot injury and had trouble getting around (required a cane). Some caution to be had with stairs and steps, just an FYI.

Close to the Minowa metro station and multiple bus lines to go to neighbourhoods such as Asakusa. Breakfast was prepared by them each morning and was always very good. Important to let them know the day before at what time you would like to have it. The private jacuzzi was a nice touch and it has a bigger shower which is more comfortable than the one below. Owners and employees were always very nice and attentive.
It feels more like a hostel than Ryokan. The shared bathrooms were always clean but quite small so it was hard to maneuver. In particular the shower was too small and had no space to change clothes... lastly rooms are quite small (keep in mind in case of bringing large luggage like us) and the AC filters would probably benefit from getting changed.

Breakfast was amazing, there was a nice rooftop and we could book private use of the jacuzzi. Rooms were comfortable.
There are no longer rental bicycles. This is not a problem but the website hasnt been updated.
