Albufeira is situated in the Algarve region on the southern coast of Portugal. This once sleepy fishing village has been transformed into a modern seaside resort. Getting to and from Albufeira

Most people traveling to Albufeira fly into Faro Airport located approximately 45 kilometers to the east. The airport and Albufeira are both near the A22 motorway for travel by rental car. A taxi or public bus can take you to the train station in Faro for the one-hour trip to Albufeira. The station is 6 kilometers from the Albufeira city center. Regional bus service also operates between the two cities.
