About

The third-largest city in Spain, Valencia is a seaside resort that features a vibrant cultural and culinary scene as well as beautiful beaches. Modern structures like the City of Arts and Sciences building contrast with historic architecture of the Medieval Old Quarter. This backdrop reveals how the capital of the Valencian Autonomous Community embraces the future and its vibrant heritage. A fertile riverbed left by a diverted waterway has been transformed into winding ribbon of lush parkland. Valencia has a Mediterranean climate that produces hot summers with temperatures in the 90s and mild winters with average temperatures in the 60s.

Getting to and from Valencia

Valencia Airport is situated 8 kilometers west of the city. The second-busiest airport in the region, it has one terminal for international and domestic flights. It is located adjacent to the A3 motorway. Regular Metrobus and express Aerobus service connect the terminal and the city center. While the Metrobus trip takes approximately 45 minutes, the express service reaches the city in 20 minutes. The Metro commuter train has two lines serving the airport. Trains travel between the on-site airport station and Estacio del Nord, the main railway station, in approximately 20 minutes.
