The largest city in Brazil, Sao Paulo is a diverse cosmopolitan metropolis featuring historical areas, luxury shopping, excellent restaurants and a vibrant nightlife. Situated on a plateau of the Brazilian Highlands in the southeastern part of the country, Sao Paolo has a humid, subtropical climate. While summer highs reach into the 80s, the winter low temperatures average in the mid-40s.

Getting to and from Sao Paulo

Guarulhos International Airport is located approximately 25 kilometers northeast of the city center. The busiest airport in Brazil, it has three terminal buildings. The majority of international flights arrives and departs from Terminal 3. Rodovia Helio Smidt Highway connects the airport to the city. Travelers can also use the airport bus service that transports passengers to the main bus terminal or the intermodal terminal for connections with local and regional buses and trains. Tickets can be purchased at a counter located in arrivals area of Terminal 1.
