Myrtle Beach is a popular tourist destination located along South Carolina's Atlantic Coast. Part of the Grand Strand, a name for a 60-mile stretch of uninterrupted South Carolina beachfront, it is the major city in that location with a population of around 27,000. In addition to the beach itself, there is a popular attraction known as Broadway at the Beach that includes three nightclubs, restaurants, shops, games, an aquarium and more. For those looking for less developed areas, Myrtle Beach State Park offers more than 300 acres. The Myrtle Beach Speedway is another popular attraction, and many NASCAR competitors train there.

Getting to and from Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach International Airport is southwest of the city's central business district. Coastal Regional Transportation runs wheelchair-accessible buses from the airport throughout the area 365 days per year. There are seven different routes from the airport throughout the Grand Strand. There are free shuttle services to some hotels in the area, and taxis and limousines are also available. The latter must be booked in advance.
