The capital of Tamil Nadu, Chennai is the economic, educational and cultural center of south-eastern India. Situated on the Bay of Bengal, it is the fifth-largest city in the country. Chennai has been highly ranked by a number of travel publications for its vibrant arts, culture and culinary scenes. Getting to and from Chennai

Chennai International Airport is the fourth busiest in the country. It has separate terminals for domestic and international operations. The airport is located approximately 20 kilometers southwest of the city center on the Grand Southern Trunk Road. The airfield is also served by the Suburban railway network’s Tirusulam railway station. Shuttle buses connect the airport terminals and the nearby Metro station. Chennai is the headquarters for the Southern Railway. The city’s four railway stations provide easy access to a number of trains for exploring other areas of southern India.
