A beautiful, historic and tranquil hotel in a superb location. The staff were always very friendly and polite. Afer we had checked in the staff noticed that my husband was having a problem with the stairs and gave us a call offering us a wonderful ground floor room in a much more convenient location. Due to the current middle eastern situation we were obliged to stay another day which was a bonus as far as we were concerned. Wlking distance from the falls.

Staff were excellent & very friendly. Hotel is beautiful & feels like you have stepped back in time. Breakfast was great so much selection & very fresh. High tea on the patio was lovely as was dinner. Rooms well appointed & comfortable.
Would not accommodate early check in or late check out, check in & out procedures are time consuming .

Gorgeous, historic hotel with wonderful views, large clean rooms, beautiful public spaces, great food, and friendly staff. It's pricey but it's worth it. The location is fantastic (a short car ride to Victoria Falls) and the terrace restaurant is amazing.

The room was big, clean, very comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing. The location is excellent. Front desk staff (especially Sarah and Felix) are extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Victoria Falls.

Everything was beyond our wildest expectations, from the view, to the beauty of the grounds, to the quality of the recent renovations, to the historical significance of the place, to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, to the variety and exquisiteness of the afternoon tea, the meals and the dinner show--just everything. We would go back in a heartbeat, if we could afford it. We splurged on one night and felt we got our money's worth, and much more.
The only thing I would have liked better was if the hotel gift shop were to sell a book about the history of the hotel, with historical photographs in it. I definitely would have purchased one, even though I rarely buy books these days. I did take lots of pictures of the pictures in the hallways. Loved the old newspaper cartoons about the British that line the hallway near the dining room!
By the way, this webpage is not working properly. I could only make a couple of answers "stick." The others never would. Of course I gave all questions the top rating.

My husband keeps talking about this hotel out of the 20 we stayed at on our trip. The historical Out of Africa style, the view of the mist from the falls, the wonderful terrace restaurant for excellent cuisine & wines, our super comfy room with all the amenities, the kind & gracious staff, the location walkable to everything. We both loved it. Highly recommend.
