York Lodge is a sanctuary of peace and solitude in a busy world.
We had everything we needed - comfortable room, great shower and bath, swimming pool in beautiful surroundings , delicious food, an honesty bar and caring staff.

The lodges are thoughtfully designed, offering cozy sanctuaries that blend comfort with elegance. My room became a personal retreat, perfect for both relaxation and productivity. I spent countless hours on the patio, surrounded by the verdant landscape, finding inspiration in the peaceful environment.
The property boasts a refreshing pool area, ideal for unwinding or gentle exercise, while the well-equipped fitness center caters to more vigorous workouts. These amenities, coupled with the tranquil gardens, create a holistic space for rejuvenation.
Mealtimes at York Lodge are a delight, with delicious, home-style cooking that nourishes both body and soul. The dining experience, set against the backdrop of the beautiful grounds, perfectly complements the cozy ambiance of the lodge.
My stay at York Lodge felt all too brief, leaving me longing to return to this homely retreat and its natural beauty.

York Lodge is made of charming English bungalows (with modern amenities) in a lush green compound. Our compliments to Margot the owner for developing such a beautiful property with a blend of foliage (old trees and new plants and green islands) It was like staying in a botanical garden. Lounging on the broad verandahs, hearing sounds of birds and insects in the air conditioned temperature of Harare was bliss.
The bungalows have modern amenities and this really helped us unwind!
We were traveling as a mostly vegetarian group. The restaurant menu could be improved. We had the opportunity to eat fabulous food in Zimbabwe and therefore are aware that great vegetarian options can be made available here.
Having a little kids play area (a small jungle gym/ tree house) could be added to keep the kiddos engaged.

The breakfast was excellent and the room was very comfortable. I was allowed to stay until it was time to go to the airport. Margot and her staff could not have been more helpful. Wonderful place and will go back when I have the chance.
