The place is really old. The bathrooms are nasty. There are not enough sockets and plugs, like none, next to that bed, and USB chargers. No chairs on the balcony, so the place becomes unusable. A conference room overlooks the pool, so there is zero privacy. As a woman, it is impossible to use the area; men lurking at all times and being really weird, too. Same goes for the lobby. In the evenings, the lobby fills up with sex workers who just chill there. The nasty men that come for "business trips" also fill the hotel's common areas. The breakfast and restaurant areas have no ventilation, so be prepared to smell like food after every breakfa The service at the restaurant is terrible.It is actually quite hilarious to watch that EVERY morning, the armada of staff who seem to have no other jobs than setting the table miserably fail to do so. Not once were they capable of providing a full set of items on the table like a cup, a fork, a knife. The coffee service is useless - instead of just keeping this somewhere near the buffet, one has to call for a guy to bring coffee or tea, which often fails. You will end up asking 5 people, and yet no coffee comes. The coffee they serve is terrible btw. The staff, or rather the people who seem like managers at the restaurant, just hang out at the entrance and yell "GOOD MORNING" or are otherwise rude and useless. The worst part is that the hotel thinks it is ok to rent our the private hotel gardens to events. Sometimes, the WHOLE WEEKEND, an extremely noisy event, will be held there, or there will be a fair. Zillions of non-residents lurking around (again, the pool is not usable), and the music is insanely loud. When asking staff about this, the main issue with this hotel comes to light: the unprofessionalism. The reception staff is rude, useless and bizarrely incompetent. No information is given. Also, not WHEN THE HOTEL HAS NO ELECTRICITY. This place sucks.

Booked online. Price was different to what I paid, which was almost double. Front office staff were not very helpful. I asked for a 2 page document to be printed. Didn't even bother to send it up to my room, had to come and downstairs and get it myself. The room had no electricity and to remind them to twice to look into it. The TV didn't work. I ordered a simple dinner that took 40 min to arrive.

For half the stay only one lift was working, creating long delays getting to and from room. Rooms are not very accessible - the shower is within the bath, and there are two steps between the entryway/bathroom and main bedroom. Even for able bodied guests this is not ideal, especially during blackouts.

The carpet in the room was suffocating and the staff not vibrant or welcoming. Too grampy

This time a few power issues that weren't communicated as they could have been but it was manageable and not directly the hotels fault

The bed was old and had a depression. This could be improved. However the room was clean and plenty of drinking water was available. The lighting was very good.

Rooms are starting to look decidedly old and tired. The hotel needs to invest in a refurbishment of the rooms, particularly flooring (carpets, and bathrooms).
