Location was great
The doors (including shower cubicle) and floor tiles -I felt could have been modernized as the room was pitched highly as executive standard,but what I saw was not up to such a standard.

Mika Lodge is located in a beautiful area. Very close to main roads and easy access to Malls.
The staff do their best to look after their guests, especially chief Rebecca. She was amazing. Always cheerful and communicated well with the guests . The rooms are cleaned every day and the facilities are adequate. The breakfast is very good with various choices. The surrounding areas are kept clean and there is a swimming pool, which is very useful during the hot season.
The electric cuts off more often. The water was cold most of the time. However this is out of their control as it's a national issue in Zambia at this moment.

My group ended up shuffling around to different rooms during our time there. Some things worked, some things didn't (like a couple of rooms with A/C units). Would have been nice to get that correct upfront. Some rooms had decent bathrooms, my first room didn't even have a shower (just a bath tub). The biggest issue is in how they clean their rooms. Their staff would spray copious amounts of DOOM insect spray in each room as they left. Excessive amounts! This caused me and three of my team members to get very sick for several days as we breathed that in our first night staying there. This really spoiled our trip to Zambia. This must stop as we were legitimately poisoned by the staff and left with a nasty cough that lasted for days. This cleaning practice should end immediately because other people are made sick.

The location and the staff are quite good. There is a pool and a couple of bars.
The rooms are a little bit noisy, especially by the generator and other guests. The food is not so good as I would wish it to be.

The location was very convenient and the breakfast was good
