We booked the smallest loft room in the hotel - preferred the regular room (in our previous stay)

Fabulous old mansion with great tiny little touches in a great location. Very quiet, and super easy to get to wherever you like to go.
Some fixtures are looking a bit tired. It definitely adds to the old style charm though.

The breakfast was really excellent. We started with fruit and yogurt, then had fresh hot scones, and a cooked breakfast was also available. All tables came with two types of juice, as well as hot drinks - coffee, tea. We have been travelling for 2+ weeks, and this has been the best breakfast by far. We wish we had stayed 2 nights!

Very nice property, the breakfast room is very cozy. The room are very spacious. The locations also very nice!
Not enough parking for all guest, road parking was safe nonetheless so not a problem.

Van der Stel Manor was in a great location nestled in a quiet neighborhood. There was a beautiful walk through a park along the river and across an extension bridge two blocks away. The hospitality was outstanding and breakfast was wonderful.

it was a beautiful traditional home in the Cape Dutch Style in a quiet neighborhood. Uber is easy accessible to downtown as parking downtown can be quite a challenge. The staff was very friendly and the whole experience was wonderful. Definitely worth staying there./
