I loved the location and having safe walks through the estate. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Even though the shower was small, the water pressure was perfect. Large room
The place needs some up keep. The lock was broken, fridge cupboard was damaged, chipped plates, warn out furniture. I would also have liked attention to detail eg same cutlery, variety at breakfast, proper coffee and milk in the room, fluffy bath towels, not to leave the tabasco in the sun where you could clearly see it was no good anymore

We had very spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The staff were amazing, helpful, polite and hard working. The estate was beautiful.
The property was a very long way away from the main gate, and right by the back gate (which we couldn’t use).

This is NOT an apartment. There are 3 rooms upstairs and a lounge and kitchen separate downstairs.
The absolute bare minimum is done for guests. Breakfast is 7-9am not a minute earlier or later. Breakfast is 2 rashes of bacon, 2 eggs and white bread. Cereal is straight out the box. Banana and questionable apples.
The staff, Palesa and Goodlady are fantastic. But the cameras watching you in every corner of the house definitely gives you a clear understanding that the owners are watching.
Showers leak. Doors don’t lock. You get one access key for the gate. Honestly, it felt like a hostel. I cancelled future bookings there.

No communication about which entrance to use or pin to get into the estate
Decided they won’t serve breakfast when I specifically booked this place as it included breakfast
There was not even a cup of coffee for us
The room was not as it was in the pictures
Host ignored my messages when I asked for a discount due to no breakfast being served

The owners are a remarkable and outstanding couple. I booked and checked in a rush but they received and treated me exceptionally.
I felt at home and above all with Family, by looking you could not believe we just met.
I have to thank Anish and Anju, Lebu and Christeenah for all your hospitality.
I definitely will come back and recommend to everyone The Monte Carlo.

The carpet in the room was dirty. The headboard was dirty. Towels were pathetic. Breakfast was hopeless, eggs and Vienna. I did not eat it. It was very irritating that I indicated that I don't eat pork and I'm lactose intolerant.

The expectation of the pictures and the actual room is nothing a like. The carpets were so dirty, there was no hot water to shower either in the evening or in the morning, no fridge in the room (it was on the list of room supplies) and the room did not smell nice. It looked like a room you will pay R500 for a night for not a room of a R1200 per night. Very disappointed as we reported it to the manager and still have not received any feedback.
