The house has a big wooden terrace with the most fabulous view over the valley and the ocean. You can see the sunset from there. I could spend the whole day on that deck in one of those swings, tucked away neatly in my own world with a book and far-sweeping views. A view and a swing, the whole family around in a house with lots of space, a big deck for meals, conversations and everyone to just rest ... and your dog! What could be a better holiday!
This house boasts one enormous, bright, modern bathroom and 2 simpler, older ones that totally serve their purpose. Furniture and the kitchen are also a bit outdated. But it does not really matter. This house is a loved family holiday house. Renovating it would cause a lot of disruption. So, if this was a commercial holiday place, I would say, update it a little. As it is a beloved family holiday house, I say: Thank you for sharing it. It is happy place.

The location was great. There is a beautiful deck with an amazing view over the bay.
The kitchen and living space is very cramped, especially if you have more than 6 people. The oven upstairs has lost its picture on the dial so it's impossible to see what setting you are using.

Awesome views with a great braai area. About an 80 walk to the beach.
There's no shops nearby besides the small convenience store down the road, which has limited stock. So make sure you do all your grocery shopping in either Knysna or Sedgefield before driving into Brenton.

Location was great. Fabulous view from the large balcony where we ate all our meals. Quiet neighbourhood. Very responsive hosts. A generous supply of eggs, bread, butter, jam, tea, coffee, juices, milk, biscuits etc was waiting for us. Very well equipped kitchen, including dishwasher and washing machine. Lots of useful items available for guests to use. Despite the unusual configuration of the house it was very easy to live in and the perfect holiday accommodation for our large extended family. Off street parking for 3 plus cars. Good wifi and TV which kept our grandchildren entertained in the evenings. Easy walk to beach. Ample space for an extended family of 6 adults and 4 children. Very spacious downstairs main bedroom and bathroom. Dog friendly. Very good value for money.
Lounge dining room area is fairly small and in bad weather could be problematic for a large group. But the large balcony more than made up for this. No real suitable garden for younger children to play in but with the beautiful Brenton beach on your doorstep that is not really a problem.
