The staff were very friendly and helpful - the best thing about the hotel. They provided some great recommendations for walks and for restaurants.
We also had some laundry done and that was done quickly and well. It was also very cheap to do.
The rooms are a decent size.
It is a lot more run down than the pictures. We had a balcony room and they’re not very nice at all. Some rusty chairs and that’s it.
The location isn’t great. It’s just off a main road and if you want to get to the main town you probably have to drive. You could walk but it’s down a main road and I didn’t feel comfortable during that walk.

Best accommodation we had during our holiday in SA. The staff is super friendly and helpful, we had a diner at the hotel and it was really good, breakfast really good, very nice and spacious rooms and the pool is nice to relax at. Could 100% recommend staying here when you are in Knysna.

We had an amazing stay at Parkes Manor in Knysna! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality and charming, quaint feel of this beautiful B&B. Our room was incredibly comfortable, spotless, and well-appointed, making for a truly relaxing stay.
One of the highlights was the incredible breakfast – a delicious spread of fresh fruit and a made-to-order menu that made every morning a treat. The attention to detail and quality of food were outstanding.
What made our stay even more special was the effort the staff put into helping us celebrate our anniversary. Their thoughtful gestures and personalized service went above and beyond our expectations.
All of this at such an affordable price makes Parkes Manor a hidden gem in Knysna. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return!
