Complementary kayaks, bikes and shuttle bus to town.
Issues with water and not able to take a shower.
One of the days a wedding was on and we were not informed and not able to use the facilities like pool and bar area.

Our stay at Amanzi Island Boutique Hotel in Knysna was a real pleasure. The setting on the lagoon is incredibly peaceful, with beautiful views that change throughout the day and give the whole place a sense of calm. The staff were warm and attentive in a way that felt natural, and the hotel had everything we needed to relax, from comfortable rooms to inviting common spaces. It struck the right balance between comfort and simplicity, making it an ideal base for exploring Knysna while still feeling like a retreat.
Only thing is that this Hotel is not for older visitors as there are a lot of stairs and unfortunately the kitchen cooking was right below our room.

The location was beautiful! Everything was super clean. The room was spacious and confortable. The staff is so polite and happy. I was on my honeymoon and they gave me an upgrade to the Dolphin suite. My husband and I were so happy!! We had a lovely time.

Truly Spectacular – A Dream Stay
From start to finish, this place blew us away. The facilities are absolutely top-notch—everything felt thoughtfully designed and luxurious. The pool was a dream, and our room was cozy, stylish, and made us feel completely spoiled.
Having complimentary access to bicycles and kayaks was such a treat—it really added to the experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the candlelit bath made for a perfect, relaxing evening.
As I said before, and I’ll say again: this place is spectacular. Can’t wait to come back.
We genuinely loved everything about our stay. Having our own private access to the restaurant was such a cool perk, and room service was super easy and convenient.
If I had to find something to nitpick, it’s that there wasn’t any heating (which we noticed at night), and the laundry service was a bit on the pricey side. But honestly, those were tiny details in an otherwise incredible experience.

Easy to find and get to, exceptional views of the lagoon and both Eastern & Western Heads. The complimentary use of bikes made for a wonderful evening cruise to catch sunset. Kayaks were available too but we ran out of time.

From the second I got here, this place just gave off total calm, luxury vibes. The view of the green hills rolling into the water was honestly the most peaceful thing ever—and it stayed that way the whole time. The room was super cute, bright, and beachy, with white and blue tones that made it feel like a proper holiday spot. The outside space? My absolute fave. Between the loungers, that swing chair, and the insane view, I barely wanted to move. Even inside, everything was styled to perfection—like something off Pinterest but still cozy and chill. If you’re after a romantic getaway or just need to reset solo, this place is an absolute gem

I like the location and would recommend that anyone who books should book any of the lagoon facing rooms.
The plates the used at breakfast were chipped-these shouldn't be in use in my view.
On one of the mornings I saw a dead cockroach on the stairs.
The Manager Promise, committed to taking me to an activity I had booked the shuttle for, showed up late and didn't apologise.

Staying at Amanzi was pure magic. The warm, personal service made us feel truly cared for, and every detail of the design was breathtaking – elegant, serene, and perfectly in tune with nature. The views were unforgettable, the atmosphere peaceful, and the entire experience felt like a dream. A true hidden gem in Knysna. Can't wait to come back.
