I was genuinely surprised to learn that this property has been operating for over 18 years. It is exceptionally well maintained, with a timeless charm that feels deliberate rather than dated. If James Bond were looking for a peaceful retreat to unwind and recharge, this would be his destination of choice.

The property is beautifully located right on top of a hill. The views are breathtaking. The staff is very friendly and the owners are kind and very accommodating. The breakfast was very delicious with different options to choose from.
The bathrooms have a rustic feel to them which is a contrast to the bedrooms which feel more modern and luxurious.

Incredible views! The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in the royal honeymoon suite with the jacuzzi on the deck and the room was beyond amazing and very comfortable! The breakfast was very good and included with the room. It was too cold to use the pool but the pool and jacuzzi area was so beautiful and had great views.

This small (6 rooms) boutique hotel rivals any 5 star luxury hotel anywhere in the world. Beautifully furnished with friendly and personal attention from Wayne, Dirk and all the staff. Great breakfasts individually prepared.
Slightly tortuous roads up to the hotel but worth it for the panoramic views.

Exceptional!!! We arrived at the accommodation after a very long journey from the UK. We were greeted by Petty with a warm and friendly smile. Petty showed us to our room which was incredible, the decor, furnishing and terrace were amazing! We stayed at the guest for four nights, the staff were attentive and always greeted us by name, something we do not see in the UK. The owners Wayne and Dirk are wonderful, Wayne cooked amazing breakfasts! Dirk was on hand with advice on places to visit and restaurants to explore. Our stay at the Alexander will stay in our memory forever. We were sad to leave after four days! The BEST GUEST house on the heads!

Incredible decoration like a 5* boutique hotel, with very comfortable bed, furniture and so many other facilities.
The hosts and all the staff were exceptionally polite and friendly going out of their way to satisfy our every requirement.
Seriously nothing to say here as the property was faultless.

Great looking b&b run by 2 professional chaps who undoubtedly trained their staff to a very high standard.
The Captain suit is impressive and very comfortable, the breakfast choice is also impressive and prepared with great skill and care. If we will ever come back to South Africa, this would be one of our stops.

This was service above and beyond, all staff greeted us by name at all times. The house and rooms are just amazing, warm and inviting. We were just blown away. Breakfast was so well presented and delicious. Wayne & Dirk are amazing hosts and we will highly recommend a visit to this Guest House

Dirk and Wayne are fantastic hosts, making you feel really welcome at the Alexander. All the supporting staff are equally attentive to your needs.
The weather wasn't great on day two, but hey we can't hold the hosts accountable for that
